LuisMa Posted August 26, 2009 at 06:31 PM Posted August 26, 2009 at 06:31 PM Talk about cheap quality, the Celine Dion Boutique is a very good example. True, I have already thrown some stuff that got faded colors. The fabric is also terrible. Quote
Frida Posted August 26, 2009 at 07:35 PM Author Posted August 26, 2009 at 07:35 PM $455 is a very fair price for a good quality leather jacket. An yeah, the catalogue is for the A/W shoe collection, a nice little letter and a price list.. is it bad that I've spent enough for them to think it's worth sending me this? LOL I feel bad.. sorta.. but not really LOL I guess yes. And did you buy any LV shoes yet? Maybe they just wanna sell more products to you. Haha, there's no need for the 'maybe', that's the ONLY reason they sent it but it's still fun that they sent it out unasked for, instead of me having to collect it in the store if I wanted one.. And nope, no shoes yet, but I've been thinking of getting a pair of car loafers when that day comes (driving with heels = not such a good idea) Quote http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tcc2copy3_zps08f18352.pnghttp://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tccgallery-1.png
MTJ Posted August 27, 2009 at 01:18 AM Posted August 27, 2009 at 01:18 AM The jacket is actually part of their luxury line -- which they only carry in the Flagship store in NY and a few of their stores (in fancy malls with Neiman Marcus and Hermes) across the country. They have unprecedented quality anyway, but the fact that this is part of the luxury collection makes it even better! But it is a want item. I have a tan leather bomber jacket that I wear all the time. I have a black motorcycle jacket like it, but never wear it because the leather is very course and squeaky. This one is like butter (I tried it on at a store two hours away). What's more, I have a $100 gift card for BR that I probably won't buy anything else with, and my boyfriend has a 30% off coupon. So yeah... I guess I should do it Quote
Frida Posted August 27, 2009 at 03:24 PM Author Posted August 27, 2009 at 03:24 PM (edited) This is what I would do: sell the black motorcycle jacket on eBay and put whatever you get (even if it's only a little) towards the BR one. Keep the tan one as well since they're so different in colour! I rewarded myself today with these "good job on your first week back" Efva Attling earrings (I've mentioned my love for her jewelry a LOT). vroni Posted August 27, 2009 at 05:30 PM Posted August 27, 2009 at 05:30 PM I bought a "Longchamp Le Pliage" bag today, it's crazy actually when you think about it, how much they charge for that little bag... anyway I've wanted one of these for quite some time and I've been working a lot lately, so no reason to feel guilty haha Quote My Taking Chances Tour 22 June München 08 July Genève 10 February Quebec City 12, 14, 15 February Montréal 15, 16 March 2011 LAS VEGAS
Frida Posted August 27, 2009 at 05:44 PM Author Posted August 27, 2009 at 05:44 PM (edited) Fun! Would you mind posting pics? I've never bought a Longchamp, but thought of getting one for gym. Could you please update us in a couple of months how the quality is holding up? Frida Posted August 30, 2009 at 01:05 PM Author Posted August 30, 2009 at 01:05 PM Stopped by H&M today to get a tanktop and spotted this swagger/cardigan: http://shop.hm.com/media/products/755/ML755_0523_341R_72201.jpg http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/Blandat/SP_A0374.jpg Not sure if I should keep it or not.. I LOVE the shape and colour, but the material is a bit.. eeeh.. It'll look okay a season or two, but then it'll have to go, and it won't be a big loss ($43) I do need cardigans for this fall Anyway, grabbed an umbrella on my way out (bought in London by my parents 20 years ago), it made me think of Celine never noticed the print before http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/Blandat/SP_A0372.jpg Speaking of Balmain, a LOT can happen to a brand's design esthetics in a decade, look at this: http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/Blandat/Namnlst-2-8.jpg (The left pic is from when Oscar De La Renta led the house, today it's Christophe Decarnin) Quote http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tcc2copy3_zps08f18352.pnghttp://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tccgallery-1.png

Frida Posted August 30, 2009 at 01:48 PM Author Posted August 30, 2009 at 01:48 PM There's a shop in Stockholm that have Balmain, the jackets are to die for, unfortunately I can't spend $10,000 on a leather jacket (I think the one on the picture is about $8000) (no I haven't added too many zeros LOL) They really are luxury masterpieces Quote http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tcc2copy3_zps08f18352.pnghttp://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tccgallery-1.png

Frida Posted August 30, 2009 at 03:18 PM Author Posted August 30, 2009 at 03:18 PM I don't know the exact price, but I don't think it's less than that. The "simple", basic cotton-blend blazers are $3500, and based on the detailing on this one I'd guess it's about right.. It also looks like suede, and ifit is I don't think 7-8K is enough This is the one I looked at http://cache.net-a-porter.com/images/products/46817/46817_in_l.jpg The NAP price is $13,395, so it's approx. $4000 less here Quote http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tcc2copy3_zps08f18352.pnghttp://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tccgallery-1.png
