Frida Posted August 11, 2009 at 06:41 AM Author Posted August 11, 2009 at 06:41 AM I don't, (I feel like I'm repeating this over and over, sorry for that, but) I had a mental breakdown two years ago and haven't been able to study since, so there's no way I can manage a job. The stress that caused the breakdown also caused some organs to malfunction, including the pancreas, so I got diabetes. Diabetes + insurance.... It's the silver lining I guess... MTJ Posted August 11, 2009 at 05:36 PM Posted August 11, 2009 at 05:36 PM Ah yes, I remember you mentioning insurance. Pancreases are a nuisance whether they're malfunctioning or not. Quote
vr6chickbeenfound Posted August 13, 2009 at 02:04 AM Posted August 13, 2009 at 02:04 AM Hey Frida, any chance you would know where to find these? Theyre Stella Mccartney Scuba pumps....I can't find them anywhere in the states. I found 2 on ebay, one in a "boat print" lol and a dusty rose color, but none the size I need. I cannot find a single store online that carries them anymore. Any ideas? http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n298/vr6chickbeenfound/picture-247-300x254.png Quote http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n298/vr6chickbeenfound/Celine%20Dion/avatars%20n%20sigs/NRJ07Sig.jpg*Thnx to Celinerific.com for the images http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/d/4;4;443/st/20090120/e/Celine+in+NC/k/7ebf/event.png

Bellamy Posted August 13, 2009 at 01:21 PM Posted August 13, 2009 at 01:21 PM Nice shopping mall. I think there's no where to find Balmain in China.Label Overview When French couturier Pierre Balmain founded his house in 1945, he, Christian Dior, and Cristobal Balenciaga were the design giants responsible for reenergizing lavish couture dressing after World War II. Balmain’s elegant, super-feminine looks were favorites among European royalty and Hollywood fashion plates like Marlene Dietrich, Katharine Hepburn, Brigitte Bardot, and Sophia Loren. Since Balmain’s death in 1982, the glory days have dwindled. His assistant, Erik Mortensen, took over until 1990, and two years later, Oscar de la Renta joined the house. De la Renta designed Balmain couture from 1993 to 2002, and Laurent Mercier took over in 2003. But the house soon fell into financial hard times and was forced to file for bankruptcy. Investors revived Balmain in 2005, and brought on designer Christophe Decarnin, fresh from a decade's work at Paco Rabanne. And for a label that was once known for ultraelegant evening attire with a draping and pleating focus, Decarnin's appointment took it toward tough-chic, thigh-grazing, body-skimming looks—a sensibility that embraces the quintessential trendsetting French party-girl. Owner Alain Hivelin claims that sales have doubled since Decarnin's appointment, projecting 2009 to amass $28 million in revenue (the clothes are notoriously expensive—a sparkly tee is $3,000, dresses are $12,000 to $22,000, and jackets are $5,000). Expansions are also in the works, adding staff, a shoe line with Giuseppe Zanotti, and the label's first men's collection in Paris in January 2009.Weird, even balimain.com and style.com don't show Balmain men's collection. (but you can see it on frillr etc, just google it)I found it on theinsider.http://www.theinsider.com/news/1586268_Bal...en_s_CollectionBalmain's Fall 2009 Men's Collection was a bit of a let down after their fabulous women's collection last year. The jeans continue a similar theme of layered and ripped denim and whilst they are certainly interesting they don't come close to generating the kind of excitement that greeted the women's collection. I can't imagine that they will be able to retail these jeans at anywhere near the £1000 that they are currently asking for some of their women's jeans.I wonder if it's true. Frida Posted August 16, 2009 at 12:40 PM Author Posted August 16, 2009 at 12:40 PM Haha, yaaay I can't wear flipflops for some reason, I ALWAYS get blisters between my toes Quote http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tcc2copy3_zps08f18352.pnghttp://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tccgallery-1.png
LuisMa Posted August 16, 2009 at 12:43 PM Posted August 16, 2009 at 12:43 PM Really? The only thing about flip flops and sandals is that it is a stupid idea to wear them if you plan to go trekking the cliffs. Last month I fell and bruised my feet and arms. If it hadn't been for a tree that was on the way down and I could cling to a branch, I would have fallen on the rocks below. Quote

LuisMa Posted August 16, 2009 at 12:48 PM Posted August 16, 2009 at 12:48 PM Isn't it silly that sometimes to hang on to a piece of clothing that even though you can get a better and new one you won't get rid of it and you love to wear it. That happened with those flip flops. One of them fell below and even though I was bleeding I had to go down to the rocks and get it, as my hubby had given them to me as a gift. Quote
Frida Posted August 16, 2009 at 01:14 PM Author Posted August 16, 2009 at 01:14 PM Haha, I don't find it weird at all, some things have a sentimental value (or they're just plain darn comfy LOL. LuisMa Posted August 16, 2009 at 01:26 PM Posted August 16, 2009 at 01:26 PM Ohhh yes. I have some things that are sooo old that I don't want to throw them away. But then you buy new stuff and go through the old items and say: wait a minute, this is horrible, and it ends in the trash bin. Quote
