What do you say to this world tour so far?

Never heard ANY bad reviews from most fans. Just people that keep on complaining about the same things. Don't want to see the show, then don't go. She selling seats just fine.

I remember about 10 years ago allegations were published by an ex-band member she lipsynced some of her stuff....it was in our paper, an article about it, but it was very quickly snuffed out by the 'league' surrounding her.

Today, Celine has many songs she still sings live.........we hear em'. I knew for years she was lipping the power of love......and All By Myself on this tour is OBVIOUSLY lipped too!

Celine my piece of advice: You're great. Better than Mariah and Whitney combined. But be careful..........you could get caught embarrasingly so.

I think that Celine handled that well just as she does with everything. As for the tour, which this is supposed to be about, not her getting caught lipping, I love the video that people have posted and I can't wait to see what she does with her US leg of the tour.

Since the question is asked I will answer.

I surely have wanted to wait as long as possible before making a final judgement.

The first thing which came to mind when I first heard about this tour was "Gee, if this is true Yay! I am surely gonna get myself a ticket, really hopes she comes to Sweden."

And the second thought was "Wow she has so many great songs to sing, hope she wont sing all the same old stuff she has already sung thousands of times. And there have been some albums out since she last toured so she has plenty of frech material to choose from."

The thrid thought was "I truly hope she wont lip it all, just like all these tv appearences, and surely not as much as in Vegas, and finally a new prerecorded version of TPOL, she'd be mad to use the old one yet again!" and then all of you here said "No! She would never lip on tour, she lips so much now to rest her voice!". And I was really hoping these guys would be right, even though I heard how unlogical it all was.

The fourth thought was "How great it would be if the old songs on tour were to be rearranged and given a new sound to fit the Taking Chances sound" and then this was confirmed by her team that "New treatment to the old tracks would be applyed into this tour".

The tour started, and I saw many of my fears actually come true, but I waited, since I naivly thought it would pass.

The first thought was, "Yay!! She was gonna come to Sweden, and even tough the price was riducuously high, I thought that I was gonna be there, if some changes was gonna be made, which not yet had been applied."

The tour continued, and nothing crucial changed.

The second thought was "Gee, why so many old tracks?! It's the same old tracklist as the LTAL tour 10 years ago, with some slight minor changes, like a pointless mini concert of one of her backing vocalists in the midle of it all. Plus the absent of new tracks was too obvious, none of the few hits between last tour and Vegas was included. Where was That's The Way It Is, which actually was a bigger hit than I'm Your Angel (which was in this setlist), which actually were a up/midtempo track and she has said so many times that she needed more of those kind of tracks in her concert since she always had too many ballads? And where was her comeback hit A New Day Has Come? And since they so obviously gave more space tothe old tracks, why did the hit which have been neglected live since it was a hit, appear so rarely and inconsistenly - Think Twice?! And where is the album which this tour is named after?! A few tracks yes, but all shortened down. What really was in need of shortening down was her old tracks. This tour's setlist was like a journey back in time, to a time evryone has been overdosed with too many times. This has to be a joke. It wasn't a joke. I really hope the French setlist will include more new material - it didn't."

The thrid thought was "Oh no, she lips a lot of tracks, and it's the same old prerecorded versions as before, and TPOL is still the over a decade old live track".

The fourth thought was "There are no changes to her old songs, the only changes made were to the few new tracks, and the changs was a clear deterioration: they were all shortened and songs like Shadow Of Love was having its sound changed in a way that it actually sounded cheaper than the album version."

The fifth thought was "What the hell?!"

The sixth though was "This surely aint worth the money. I aint going. :ermm: "

The seventh thought was "Why oh why, this tour is truly pointless. They have given more priority to quantity (lots of shows, lots of numbers in the ticket prices, lots of seats in the venues, lots of tracks in the track list) than to quality (actual live songs, fine setlist, reasonable setlist - more tracks from recent albums). The theme is obvious the "Taking Chances tour" was nothing than the "Taking Cash tour".

The eight thought was "This tour has managed to make a "hard core fan" into an "slight fan on the border to ex fan"

This world tour is ACTUALLY far from being the same as the magnificent Let's Talk About Love tour :sofunny:

And there are not so many old tracks 'coz only 6 songs (out of 20) have been kept. And only My Heart Will Go On is ACTUALLY the same because it is not shortened like the rest (that are poorly-arranged, such as The Power of Love that has been ugly used for solid 15 years since A O'lympia! at least) :cry:

The show on 18th of June in Cologne was her first I've been to, just to have seen her, before Celine might never come again to Germany.

I've found the prices for the tickets ... hmmm ... high, almost too high.

But now is was worth the money. No, it was great.

I have a new favourite song: Alone, many years before performed by Heart was great back then, but it kicks a** performed live by Celine.

I definately will be there again, when she comes to Germany.

I think this tour is very good. I can't say it is better than previous tours. I saw Celine 4 times: amsterdam '97, Amsterdam 99 + London '99 and this year in Antwerp. Seeing Celine the first time in 97 during the falling into you tour was amazing and it was my first big concert of any artist. The LTAL tour was as amazing as the first concert to me! This tour I chose to go to a francophone concert to hear more french songs. And it was simply amazing. I wish i went the 13th instead of the 14 of may because of Tout l'or des hommes and On ne change pas (2 of my very favourite songs). But the concert was simply amazing and i was blown away again by her stage performance etc. I think this tour is just as good, or even better, than previous ones. The only thing is that I would like to have heard songs like This Time and I surrender for example. I did not go to AMsterdam this year because i had other important things to do and i did not like that i did not go but when i read she did not sing Think Twice there it was ok!

I enjoyed the concert in Antwerpen very much! Just as much as the other once. She is simply an amazing artist!

The LTAL tour is recorded from a show in French. They didn't record English for this world tour.
