Celine did not sing the Beijing 2008 Olympics theme song

Well, I think the reason why David Chose the other singer and not Céline is because she's Chinese and Céline is not... Yes, I know Céline had the theme song for Atlanta, but for me it just makes more sense that a Chinese person sings the opening for the Chinese Olympic games... (Though I would love to hear Céline instead )

And whoever mentioned A World to Believe In in connection with this should be learned how to think twice, 1 that song has never been/will never be worth the attention it gets 2 it couldn't be anywhere near as inappropriate concidering the country in which the event is held somyblizes anything but a world to believe in.

 

 

 

 

I do however expect Céline will perform during the winter Olympics in Canada.

Now all Celine's Beijing concerts have officially been abrogated as earlier announced by Rene,

 

owing to the physician' advice that the air pollution in Beijing is hazardous to her.

 

So there will not be any special performance for the 2008 Summer Games by Celine, I suggested that.

I don't know if you guys have read what Rene and Celine thinks about the big thing against the Olympics..

 

They are 100% for the games. They are against people who try to boycott the games. It's our position to me and Celine. If Celine cancel Pekin, it's not to protest against the games. Celine appreciate the fact that atleths work out all their life for the games and 95% of those people are not chinese. Celine said in the press conference that she's glad she don't know all the details of the canceletation of Pekin, it's a complicated story. The only things Rene accept to say it's that there was complications with the place they were suppose to make the concert. They ask if there was terrorist problems. He said : as fai as i know, no, maybe it's because it's an olympic stadium.

 

10 minutes before the concert, Rene was worried because it was only 10 degres in the stadium, he said it's the coldest place Celine ever made a concert. Rene said it wasn't sold-out but there was 35 000 persons and it was the biggest concert ever made in Shangai.

I read from the Chinese forum that, in the press conference that took place in Beijing, a reporter asked Celine if she will sing the Olympic theme song this year, and she said due to her touring schedule, unfortunately she will NOT be able to participate in the event, but she wishes the event all the very best!

I am not going to vote, and I think you shouldn't either. First of all, there's no reason for her to sing the official song of the games. It should be someone from China, or at least from Asia. Them I think it's not good for her to make ANOTHER theme song for Olympic games, enough is enough, and songs from these events are everything but cool; something she desperate needs to be.

I'm guessing right now if you are an anti-Celine? Anyway, everyone is open to sing the song since Olympics is for everyone. I'm Asian but we are free who's person we are going to vote. It depends on taste so my vote is for Celine.

 

I also heard that she is going to sing in Expo2010 I hope by the year 2010 I'm residing in China. And by the way, will Celine be the one to sing the Olympics song by 2010 in Canada? Does anyone knows anything about this. Thanks,
