i thought of something today.. as i was in my bed looking at my Celine posters...

i think on the cover they should have Celine's old logo!!!!!!!!!!

I've been missing it since 2002

but if you look REAL hard at the leftmost side of your regular version of A New Day Has Come cd, you will notice the CELINE logo printed on it.

 

note: it's not on the booklet, it's in the back of the BACK cover of the cd (if u know what i mean )

Looks very good on it And the colour you chose for the logo is perfect But just one detail, with the classic logo on it, you don't need to add that horrible "CELINE DION" they used for the cover. Just the logo is enough to make a Céline Dion album cover look great (its a shame that Sony Music doesn't think the same since 2002 )

 

That "Celine Dion", as happened with every album she released since 2002 is simple and shabby. The classic Celine logo added a lot of personality instead. It was her seal. Does anybody agree with this too?

I wonder why they margined it that way, small and in one side, almost mixed with the colour of the sea. Since they deleted her classic logo of her albums, things have changed in her career, have you noticed that?

awhile back i opened a topic about her logo being ignored since One Heart. her REAL international success began during The Colour of My Love (the logo first appeared there if im not mistaken), and followed with Falling into You, Let's Talk About Love, These are Special Times, All the Way, which would later become 4 of the best selling albums in music history.

 

and when ANDHC came out, the logo was so unnoticeable, almost hidden. it was still a success, but a disappointment compared to her previous releases (10M vs. the 20M of ATW). and don't ask for the follow ups

 

so i guess they should bring the logo back to her albums. not to regain her 90's peak, but to show the public that the celine they once adore is still alive, and kicking! LOL

My Love will impact US radios on 22th September so keep asking it next week. They got the Taking Chances album version for airplay, not the new version that will be available on the album, so it has better chances than with an acapella beginning.

I have to agree . We never knew why they removed the logo from her albums and singles, and after 6 years, any journalist has ever asked her why that logo that appeared on every Céline item in the 90's is no longuer on any of her releases I wonder what would Céline answer to that

They could just had cut out the acapella part for the radio edit and start where the acapella ends, just like Whitney Houston's version of I Will Always Love You, starts on the first verse on radios here, and that song didn't do too bad now did it?

 

I still don't get why they release this as single, My Love (TC version) sounds so cheap and cheesy. Songs can get away with being cheesy if only they come in the right package - Right Next To The Right One - but if they're cheap and amateurish like this it's just embarrasing to see attention bein wasted on it which for example could had been put on Fade Away. I was hoping for this new version to lift the song up, but it seems as if the Celine Team don't even believes in it.....

First of all I've heard nothing about this....but it would be ludacris to send the opposite version of a song that is being released from a new album to radio stations, but I'll see what I can find out!!

 

Second as much as we would like to see celine top 10 with a single, I dont think they are worried about singles anymore or chart positions...its all about album sales that mean more to them now a days!!!!

So I wouldn't worry about other artists bringing out singles at the same time, because sadly it doesn't seem to matter anymore, although it does to the fans.....
