I'm confused, Are we getting the LIVE version from the Taking Chances Tour or the Re-recorded one ?

i hate digipaks with passion! it hurts the cd and it gets old really fast. that's why i can't stand the packaging of TC.

 

the ENHANCED SUPER JEWEL BOX looks way better and elegant. but i guess the only recording company that uses that packaging is Universal Music Group. (mariah carey, janet jackson, amy winehouse, duffy, rihanna)

 

but im fine with standard jewel case and the brilliant box

I love those digipacks, like "ONCP" or "D'elles" digipack, with that plastic piece where the CD is kept. I hate what they did with the TC digipack as well ANDHC - collector's edition and you know so on.

those packages aren't that bad, but it would have been better, if they also produced a hard plastic protective sleeve with it, like Lara Fabian's 9 digipack. that's much much better!!

There won't be other versions for Asia, Australia, Japan. They'll get the US tracklist version.

 

I think what they call a 'live' version is the re-recorded version that sounds like the live performance on the tour (with acapella beginning).

Awww, it's also my big dream!!! I would sooo lurv such "Video Ultimate Collection" or whatever they would call it!!! There are sooo many videos that scream to be relased...

I love love these new jewel cases with rounded corners!!! They look much better than the regular packages and they are more stabile. They don't open that easily so you won't drop the CD or booklet by accident and they are better in 'crash tests', hehe! The traditional jewel cases, once they fall on the floor, those small pieces where the two parts get together (sorry, don't remember the proper word) break up.

But I also noticed that all CDs I have in this packages have been released by Universal...

Still what is One Heart doing there?! Sure it was played a lot here, but so was also CWS!

First Time Ever I Saw Your Face was only getting attention in the US after the CBS 98 special. (Why have it take up place on this album in Europe? I mean a 2 disc set is long enough anyways, not kind to add a sleeping pill.)

Goodbye’s The Saddest Word - wasn't this an even bigger flop here than in the US?! Dance With My Father - the European audience have no clue about this song, it was performed at the American grammys.

 

I Knew I Loved You on the other hand - wasn't it a tribute to Italian Ennico Morricone, who also wrote the music?!?! Italy was in Europe last time I checked, why isn't this track on the European version.

 

Bad planning, which we are so getting used to nowadays.

I have a feeling many of us will make our own versions of a best of. It is only sad however that songs liek IKILY is left out from the general EU audience and songs like I Surrender.

I like Aún Existe Amor, but at least in Argentina it wasn´t a hit at all. And I preffer ABM rather than Sola Otra vez. By the way have you seen this (aparece Lerner)?:

 

Do you happen to know what version we are getting in Argentina? Because with FIT and ANDHC we didn´t get the american versions (we had your light, natural woman and superlove). I like the uk tracklist better, even though I´m not completely sure I´ll bebuying this compilation

Well, Argentina is a big country, and where I live it was , as GD said, a mild hit. Not huge, but got quite a lot airplay. Besides, she performed that song in the Latin Billboard Awards, it deserves a place in this Essential Collection

I hope it's not true. If it is, then it's weird. Cause we never get US tracklist. We usually get European/rest of the world tracklist. And Japan usually get something special. I don't like the 26 tracks list.

The French is actually the same as the US one plus "Falling Into You", "Immortality", "Ten Days" and "One Heart." So if you buy the French edition you already have the US one as well. Nice (as if ...)

and Sola Otra Vez, wasn't that already on the Collector's Series. There are already too many songs released twice or more often on this release, why would you want another one?

When the press release ''finally'' gets approved I should have other bits and bobs of info. regarding the single/album/promotion etc...

 

What I can say is... I asked my contact to mention to Celine, that because this will be a greatest hits album, and because so many of us got involved in this topic etc, that it would be nice to give the fans a message/mention in the album sleeve....

 

And today I got an email to say that, Celine loved the idea....... and that fans would get a mention in this album!!

First Time Ever I Saw Your Face was only getting attention in the US after the CBS 98 special. (Why have it take up place on this album in Europe?

 

I think the only reason for this, it that is was a small hit in the UK and Ireland; it was released there and: It peaked at number 19 in the United Kingdom and number 32 in Ireland

 

The should have gone with IWYTNM on the North-America one though, cos it was no 1 in Canada and 12 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks

 

What you should be asking is, what is Seduces Me doing there, It was no single, no hit (though it should have been) it was already on TCV 1, but I think Sony forgot they released that and only TC wants to get rid of the unsold copies they have WDMHBN or IYAMT should have had that place instead!
