btw this song is kinda like The Voice Within, or something like that, from X-tina. Now that video was shot in one time... in black and white (cheaper then colour!!!) and what would it take? 2 hours total for Céline herself? I agree with Thomas, it's not a question about time, but about money.

 

And also I agree with Del, Céline deserves a break, so why release a GH now?!?!?! One more decent single with a decent clip for Taking Chances, that was enough! No they need to make a 'new' album.. .squeeze every little bit of money out of her

Well I'd like to see you on her schedule and keep up with the demands of the fans. I don't think anyone would last. Like it was mentioned by previous members on here she needs to take time off. She doesn't stop working and she's going to burn out if she doesn't slow down.

You said there was enough time. I disagree with that. All she does is work and life isn't all about work, you have to spend time with friends and family and relax so that you get to grow old with them.

Yes I'm not overly pleased with the live video but I could care less.

I mean take this into consideration... Since 2002 she's released A New Day Has Come, One Heart,, Une Fille 4 Types, A New Day Live, Miracle, On Ne Change Pas, D'Elles, Taking Chances and now My Love:Essentials, plus the AND DVD and all this while performing 714 shows in 5 years. Do that and then come back and tell me there's enough time for everything. I don't think so. The woman needs to take a break

 

 

Hmmmm. Well, she doesn't release these albums. She just sings song for them. The record company takes the time and effort (or not) to put them together and release them. One Heart was a LOT of holdovers from ANDHC and ATW so she might have recorded 6-8 new songs for OH. A New Day Live only had 2 new songs recorded for it. Miracle had several hold overs as well - Brahm's Lullaby, TFTEISYF, A Mother's Prayer and On Ne Change Pas was basically all old material - no new songs. Same with My Love:Essential Collection. She's not working THAT hard. It takes her about 3-4 hours to record a song so an album of 16 songs takes her roughly 2.5 days to record. 2.5 days of work for millions of dollars. The poor baby. She must just be EXHAUSTED!

I actually don't agree with that at all. Celine is one of the hardest working artists out there. I don't think any of us have any idea how hard some of these people work and to say that she doesn't work that hard is in my opinion an insult. However we're all entitled to our opinions...

I work in the performing industry and I work just as hard if not HARDER than she does. And I don't make nearly that much money and I actually SING through my shows - 8 shows a week. And she's going to dare to lip-synch some of the songs during her 5 shows a week??!! Give me an f'ing break!!!!!

I'm talking about the last commercial for sensational. She had time to do it! and I think it took her at least 2-3 hours like OH video more or less.

She could easily do a videoclip. It's not a question of fun or "freedom" she is such a big artist she can decide whatever she wants, also to direct her videoclips.

It's not her fault, they dont want to invest money in her videoclips anymore, for an upcoming GH neither!

Just a little update...

 

What I can say and confirm for now is that, this new re-recording of My Love, will be the single released to promote the album, and the music video will be a performance of the song taken from the current world tour, which will be released very soon...!

I hope not that performance was afwul! and then again live video with live track..it is a mess

Don't worry, they'll surely dubb it with this new studio recording.

 

Live videos are booring yes. I would so love to see the unreleased version of IWYTNM modified to fit as video for ML... Think that would be quite perfect, since the song is quite dramatic and so seems that video.

 

And BTW this wont be a hit anyways. sersiously we should know by now that aint the case anymore. We don't know what they're aiming at but it aint artistical interpretions(if so more attention to RNTTRO and TJTWIM) and it aint commercialism (if so mor attention to Fade Away and This Time).... so who knows?

Even the ''brand new'' Taking Chances music video, didn't help to get that single high in the charts, so lets just give her a break and support her, shes a busy gal, and this is another album for our collections!

 

I agree.....this "helped" me to not care anymore about these things. If ANYTHING would've helped her back on tv, it was thát amazing video, especially as the 1st single of a brand new album. But it did nothing....it wasn't played anywhere. It would be exactly the same now. Better to put that money into something else....

Don't forget that video is very old fashioned, as much of their strategy (she needs to work with people who are more in touch with the current market), and would have worked 10 years ago. Besides not even the director had any proper theme with that video. Can't see why it is so praised here.
