Wikipedia has been updated with both tracklists, but I doubt they'd release the Amercian version with less tracks than the european one!

It seems that France will have a different tracklist than the rest of Europe.

Wouldn't surprise me. I guess it will be All The Way again and we'll have like 5 different versions of the album:

Europe version

US/Canada version

France version

Japan version

Russia black market bootleg version

etc. ...

 

 

I think if they are going to have different versions again, we should be able to buy them all through her website, or at least TeamCeline...I'd buy them all

The American tracklist is better as far as the "essential" tracks go, but the lack of unreleased songs is still very dissapointing. Meh, what can you expect from Sony?

Both tracklistings on Wikipedia suck!! None include any new songs other than 'Soldier' and a redo of My Love. How is this essential?? They are mixes of ATW and The Collectors Series with a couple songs included that are available worldwide on other releases.... I am SO PISSED!!

 

I sincerely hope these are incorrect and that someone involved in the album's planning is smarter than this!!

These are her Greatest Hits i.e 'essential'...it's not going to have loads of new songs- it's the English ONCP- i.e a collection of all the songs that she has released or that are significant to her history in the music business- why would it have songs that the general public don't know or don't recognise? If I picked up a cd of an artist expecting to get all their well-known work and it was random songs that I hadn't heard of, I wouldn't buy it obviously.

I agree. Granted, we already have The Collector's Series and All The Way, but it seems to me than an "Essentials" collection would include songs that have been essential in Celine's career, so it is understandable that the tracklist is made up of songs that we all know and have heard thousands of times.

 

I would be pleased if Sony took a page from Sarah McLachlan's book and released something along the lines of Rarities, B-Sides and Other Stuff, which actually had rare tracks, and was directed more at true, long-time fans than the general public. But, after all, it's Sony, so there is pretty much no chance of that ever happening.

 

I also think it would be amazing if we got a DVD release of ALL the English music videos someday!

Just saw the track list at Amazon for the North American Version, and I love it. I really hope that this is the official track list for the north american version of the album. I love that there's I knew I loved you & dance with my father. Just hope that this track list is the one that makes it.

I'd love to have the ra-ta-ta-tat with a big bang and marching band. She should definitely record with a brass band, it sounded really good when she performed with an orchestra for 400 years of Québec. Let's hope it's non of those cheesecake "Christmas is near, tremble in fear" love soups. We already have "My Love" as that.
