Oh that sucks! I didn't realise they were charted and certified separately, so technically with the multiple versions of TC it could have done better than what it did had there of been 1 or 2 versions?

Taking Chances was counted as one.

Charts have some rules like how different must be two versions to be counted separately. In the case of upcoming greatest hits album which will have additional 18 songs the differance is too big.

 

I rememeber that Mariah Carey's label had a problem how to re-release The Emancipation of Mimi so that it counted as one album. So the added only four songs. Anyway, that goes for sure for the U.S. and the UK which are the most important music markets

Does anybody have a direct link to a page on Sony BMG Germany's website that lists the tracklist? I've searched throughout this thread and all over Sony BMG Germany's website and have not been able to locate one. Right now all we have to go off of is a post by someone who only quoted a person and a company name. I'm not doubting this person's credibility, but it would be nice to have something a little bit more concrete before I start giving my opinions.

You wouldn't? If only I could be so hopeful. No flaws when you're pretending. I'm rather sick of Sony and they're stupid way of handling Celine's music. We don't get what we're somewhat promised, nor are we heard. It's really too bad, I bet Let Me Be Your Soldier is a great track.

Well the ''official'' tracklisting provided was for Europe right?

 

I think with the standard "NORTH AMERICAN" 1 CD version "Think Twice" will be replaced by another song---a wise choice would be "Nothing Broken but my heart" as that was a #1 hit on AC radio and top 40 on billboard; Think Twice was'nt really a hit in North America........secondly "Nothing broken" was not included on "All the way" or any other compilation she released...

Yeah I agree with everyone who says there should at least be one new song on it as it would sell more. I have all of her albums and personally would still buy it but I know there are many who would only do so for a new song. It is also a good idea to include a french song or 2 on it.

So I just took the tracklist that has been announced in this thread as what the CD is going to be. Since I have all of these tracks already (except for the ONE new song), I put them all into an iTunes playlist (including the live version of My Love which is how it is to be re-recorded) and POOF I have the new CD already. My Love: The Essential Collection 2 disc set before it even hits stores. I'm listening to it right now. Anyone else? :-)

If Itunes is going to offer it as an album only or bonus track, I'm not willing to pay $13 to hear it. Yes according to them, it's considered less than anything on the album, but really they've made some crappy decisions in the past, just look at Map To My Heart and The Reason I Go On for example omitted from TC (with the exception of Japan) which I think it's fair to say these two tracks have become fan favourites and in my own personal opinion are far better than many of the songs on that album ie SOLA, SFY, ND. So I wouldn't be dissapointed with LMBYS just yet, it might be great! Here's hoping!

Let's just remember that when Rene called fans to listen to the premiere of TCH in Las Vegas, he said the songs wasn't finished yet. And let's remember that one of the people who was there and said that "Let Me be your soldier" was horrible, was the same who said that "Alone" wasn't that good and that "Right next to the right one" sounded weird as hell. Well, both songs are part of the best songs in TCH for me. So, it's a matter of taste. I still wanna listen to that, so I CAN SAY that it sounds horrible or not.

Hehe and I still stand by my review of RNTTRO being weird as hell! And Alone is still average to me. But I will admit My Love was the song that least stuck me during the preview but quickly became one of my favorites on the album, so quite honestly there's no telling what any of us will think of it if we get to hear it! I could end up loving it for all I know!

 

We know how crazy they are anyway! They didn't put The Reason I Go On, or Map to My Heart on the main album and instead added some duds, so we know they suck at putting tracklists together. I just hope that German site is wrong and we get more than 1 unreleased song.
