I am very disappointed....and I didn't have high expectations.

But to get only one new song is really a joke.

What happened to "If I can dream" with Elvis? I was counting on this album for that one

there is a limit to ow much u can milk a cow.... plus... with the tour CD coming out... shouldnt that be the big focus... not some souped up product

I think the tracklist is just perfect. People will love this compilation. I'm so looking forward to it. I'm sure I will buy it as Xmas gift for many of my friends. It's the perfect celinish gift!

 

Let's hope the single will do well on the radio!

I was very curious about the tracklist but didn't have my hopes up very high where the tracklist is concerned. I guess that was good...I mean this is a good release for casual listeners but for us die hard fans its pretty much a waste except for "There Comes A Time". Although knowing me, I would get it sooner or later no matter whats on it.

Let's see if there are any changes on the US release. *fingers crossed* for some new songs.

I'm sure this release would be very appealing to the average fan, or someone that wants a taste of Celine without buying all of her albums.

You've hit the nail on the head. That's exactly who it's aimed at. This type of fan probably owns all of Céline's English compilations and therefore already has most of the tracks but doesn't even realise it. I hope it's available on iTunes then I can download the 2 tracks I don't already have.

I actually don't mind the list- ONCP didn't get loads of never before heard songs, why should this English one? I do think IS should be there, but it wasn't released so it was hardly a 'hit' despite its popularity. WDMHBN should have been on theer too- that's all I would change. Nice, modern and fresh

The Reason

There are 6 tracks (marked in bold) on that 2nd disc that shouldn’t be on there!

"The Reason" is essential. It was supposed to be the original title of that album + she worked with Sir George Martin + it's written by Carole King (who's one of the most influential female songwriters of her time next to Joni Mitchell and Laura Nyro). So here you get her working with people who are/were essential in pop/rock music history. Just look at who she's working with nowadays. People nobody will remember after a few years. In that context "The Reason" is more than outstanding.

I actually really like the GH part of the tracklist. All the songs I thought would be in there are in there apart from WDMHBN and IYAMT (and IS!), but apart from that it's great.

 

I think the reason why everyone is complaining about the lack of new racks is because is being comapred to ATW too much. Stevo is right, On ne change pas only had 2 inedits, and so has this one (ML and TCAT). So really there's nothing to get in a state about. This is the english version of ONCP!

 

I think it's a good idea having a 1CD and 2CD version, I'll be getting the 2CD version!

Essentially picking up where Collector's Vol.1 left off. Only difference is that Collector's Vol.2 has 1 song that's completely new. It's a step up.

Not overly surprised by the tracklist, nor overly impressed either. Yes most of these songs would be considered "essential" so the general public will probably love this release but sadly for dedicated fans, 1 new song is really all we have to look forward to.

You Sony/René haters are so funny... You hate Sony/René because they didn't include fake songs on the tracklist that was only a really bad rumour. No one ever told that there will be more than 2 unreleased tracks on this album. Usually no one puts more than 2 unreleased songs on a greatest hits album.

 

You always say Sony don't care about Céline.... but at the same time in another thread you welcome the fact that she was awarded by Sony after selling 7 million albums in Canada and having the most platinum awards there.

 

If Sony releases a 1 CD edition only, you hate them for that, now that you got a 2 CD edition as well, you hate them because 2 or 3 of your favourite songs are not included. You always hate someone for something. That's getting very boring now!

 

Why can't you just enjoy the music of Céline and let the others do that too?
