Les 20 ans de Falling into You

 

Falling Into You n’est certes pas le premier album en anglais de Céline Dion. Mais c’est celui qui l’a propulsée au rang de mégastar. Vingt ans jour pour jour après sa sortie, Le Journal jette un regard sur cet opus marquant qui fait toujours partie des plus «gros vendeurs» de tous les temps.

This is such an epic album. Her voice is just so crystal clear, impeccable, and powerful. With D'eux in 1995 then Falling Into you to follow so soon after, Celine was at the top of her game. Incredibly impressive.

 

I mean --

 

Is there another artist in the WORLD who has the sort of bilingual career that Celine Dion has??? I feel like Celine doesn't get enough credit for balancing the massive career that she has sometimes. Rene's legacy lives on.

I think LTAL was already on the way to promote FIY with a 4th (US) and 6th (Europe) single. By the way only three singles in US is a pity. Your Light is amazing. Such an energy in the way she sings it.

WOW Team Celine are celebrating the 20 years of Falling into you on Facebook... The only way they found is 'Buy the album again on itunes' ooooh wow! They could at least release a 20th deluxe edition with bonus on itunes if they wanted the fans to buy it again!

I really can't believe it... Its her most selling album and Sony is doing NOTHING... Would have been so easy to release it again with a second cd including 2-3 bonus songs, demos, live songs from the tour + the dvd of live in Memphis with full setlist or a new show like the one in Montreal.

I prefer ABMB to BYLM. And I think Mariah had a better English discography than Celine up to 1996. That said Celine is the best... always.

ABMB is better than BYLM, but I don't like how it became No1. Mottola deleted copies of "Because You Loved Me" so "Always Be My Baby" could reach No1..

And I never understand why IACBTMN and ABM weren't No1 hits.

Yes, Mariah's first two albums are better than Celine's. But TCOML and MB are tied, FIY is better than Daydream (both were at their peak) and I prefer LTAL over Butterfly. Edited March 22, 2016 at 09:13 AM by comingback

LOL - Her team finally got around to retweeting Legacy's tweet. I have no words. Yesterday should have really been a huge celebration of the song: An in-depth post to her website, interviews with Celine and/or Diane Warren, possibly getting comments from Robert Redford and Michelle Pheiffer how they feel about the song and how it tied into their movie ("Up Close & Personal") and even releasing the unreleased Chris Cox remix to iTunes as a digital single. Sadly, no. All we got was a dang retweet. Maybe they've got something MAJOR in the works that will take five years to put together for the 25th anniversary. Yeah. That's it.

 

And before some on here get bent out of shape about how heartless I am because her team is still dealing with their grief regarding the loss of Rene, that doesn't wash: A) If they can all get back to work and Celine can even get back on stage to perform, they can put things together for major milestones, and B ) people not even immediately connected to Rene could have put something together that wouldn't have affected any potential grief-stricken hearts.

I'm also bummed that her team isn't celebrating these massive anniversaries. It's a big shame.

 

But I also have the feeling that's because of Celine. I think she isn't a person to look back on what she did, but she's more focused on what's ahead.
