True! As far as I know, she was originally expected to perform "Think Twice", but since the single was never a success in the U.S., they probably thought RDMH would be a much better option.

 

Do you remember which video/interview this gets talked about? I had found it a while ago, but didn't bookmark it :(

I have no idea if this was ever mentioned in an interview. Actually a fan from Quebec told me, and back in the day he was told by Celine’s team.

It's weird to see the post and at the end a copyright message with the photographer. I don't know about others, to me this seems a bit weird.

The photo was taken from Tina Turner's official page, where the photographer is mentioned. Why is that so weird?

I do remember the story of 'people know you can sing ballads, but can you sing a rock song? Can't you sing one of those' story. Maybe it's even in one of the (official) biographies. I don't remember if the song she was to sing was TT though.

It's weird to see the post and at the end a copyright message with the photographer. I don't know about others, to me this seems a bit weird.

 

The copyright message is to avoid the post being flagged for copyright infringement because she does not own the photo.

there used to be a version of that concert available on eBay, but I think somebody bought it. At that time I didn’t even have an eBay account set up, nor did I have the money for it, otherwise I would’ve bought it.

It looks great, but it's clearly fanmade (not an official Sony release). Didn't a member of the forum have an official recording from a friend who works at Sony? Sony should release/upload the concert.

It's not fanmade... the Sultan ordered the concert to be recorded, and gave VHS and Laser Discs to those who were at the concert after...

Yeah, I don't understand why it wouldn't cross their mind to upload it. But it's like people all over the world who have VHS tapes of old stuff that are just sitting in boxes that they are too "lazy" to go through or just say "I'll get to that later, one day"
