I am quite sure in this TV Special, Tommy Motolla says that Céline has sold way more records than anyone else in teh 90's, if someone can remind me about the show's titel, I would find easily the sequence...And I think no one knew about the figures more than him at that time being

Rightfully so. Any reasonable CEO would be Team Celine in late 90s as she brought so much money in :-D Her commercial peak is unprecedented. Her album releases from 1996 to 1999 have sold around 110m copies - this is just insane, especially if you consider how successful her tours and singles were as well.

 

A rough estimation of her strongest singles at that time:

 

Falling Into You 500.000

Because You Loved Me 5.100.00

It Is All Coming Back To Me Now 4.600.000

All By Myself 2.000.000

Tell Him 1.500.000

Be The Man 200.000

My Heart Will Go On 18.000.000

Immortality 1.500.000

Zora Sourit 250.000

I’m Your Angel 2.500.000

I remember someone saying in 97 or 98 that every few (can’t remember the number) seconds, a Celine Dion album was sold.

This album must have sold over 33m copies by now. Its Spotify streams alone are above 740.000.000 which counts as almost 500.000 sales, if I am not wrong.

I own this album since 2005 and only now I got to appreciate 'Make You Happy'. :pinch: I listen to it every now and then and it is such a solid album track. Cool and positive vibes! Edited by LukeD

I love this one too! I think it could have been a great choice for a single in U.S. It is pop/country and very easy-listening. Nice melody and cute lyrics!

Numbers #5 to #12 are extremely close to each other, basically on the same level. 😆 I like "I Don't Know" and I agree about the bridge!

For me, "Seduces me" is the masterpiece of the album!

 

It's cool because her fellow Canadian, and someone who she sang duets with in the '80s, wrote the song!

I was in a supermarket a few days ago and all of a sudden they started playing “Dreamin’ of You” on the speakers. What a lovely random surprise.

That’s great, but as you said, quite random. I’ve basically only heard the same few hits out in public, or on radio, the power of love, that’s the way it is, because you loved me, it’s all coming back to me now, and my heart will go on.

I remember hearing dreamin' of you in a supermarket a few months ago. In supermarkets or malls I also hear quite reguarly one heart, you and I, unfinished songs, both versions of a new day has come, think twice and I'm alive :) Edited by ordinary fan
