What was Celine's best live performance of "Because You Loved Me"? Also, does anyone remember the small handful of performances where she performed it live in the original key? I can't recall. Thanks

Was just looking through this topic and found that nobody really responded to your question. In my opinion, the best live performances of because you loved me are Chicago, 1998, Ghent 1996, and maybe Anaheim 1998. The best Vegas one is August 10, 2011, followed by August 9 and 12th. Technically, she performed that song in the original key three times, Regis and Kathy Lee early 1996, bad performance, then the Royal variety performance in 1997, then the first verse in chorus in 2002. It’s a shame It’s All Coming Back To Me Now wasn’t a number 1 hit. It really should’ve been… but that pesky Macarena song stayed in the way.

 

Of all of her singles that didn’t hit number 1, that’s the biggie. Even non Celine fans admit that’s an amazing power ballad.

 

Otherwise, I think some others also deserved to be #1 like WDMHBN, IYAMT, BATB, ABM, and ANDHC.

 

But then again, the charts don’t reflect whether a song becomes a classic or not. Shania’s biggest anthem is Man! I Feel Like A Woman and its charting wasn’t that high.

 

And I’d argue a lot of Mariah’s #1 hits didn’t really stand the test of time or become classics like BATB, ABM, etc.

To Love You More was a bonus track. I believe it was mainly on the Asian versions of the album.

 

The European version of Falling Into You has Natural Woman as a bonus track, and that is still included on the streaming versions here. Natural Woman doesn't feel like a bonus track in the same way To Love You More does though. Maybe it's because To Love You More was the last track and so popular in Asia. It was included on 3 of her English albums. First on The Colour of My Love, then Falling Into You and lastly Let's Talk About Love. 4 if you count All The Way.
