That part where she was talking about her "love" being with her even after he died gave me chills because she could have been talking about Rene and I lost it! :teary:

P.S. Team Celine, this is the kind of stuff we want! <3

Same here. I wonder how she felt when seeing this!!

Wow, it’s like already in 1996 she was describing her life after Renes death post 2016.

And when you look at it today it gives you the chills, because it’s like she knew about it already back then without being cautious of it.

She must have a very strong connection to the higher power, because she also felt that she will have twins one day, and then finally had twins for real. It’s impressive.

All in all, it was a great treat and I really enjoyed it a lot. I wish to get more stuff like this. They did a really good job this time.

Why were there only 1,000 people watching the premiere?

Well a weekday at 11 am (4 and 5 pm in Europe) is not the best timing I guess.

I don't know about higher power, because IVF treatments are statistically very likely to result in twins, triplets, etc. :giggle:

Who uploaded it years ago? Was it the same footage?

It was a short version (2-3 min) of the Making of from a VH1 special, not from TC

Celine was smart to highlight this RIAA post herself. Hopefully her engagement will inspire them to update all of her certifications.

I felt the same way. It was like she was talking today, saying almost the same things she says currently.

I loved this video <3 it brought back so many memories!! I was wondering... Taylor Swift is now number 1 on iTunes with the re-release of Fearless. Lady gaga is number 2 worldwide with...Artpop! Little monsters have been campaigning for Artpop part 2 and to be heard by Gaga, they managed to bring Artpop on top of the charts. She acknowledged it yesterday. So... Imagine... Could we bring Falling into you back up in the charts?! It would be amazing: 3 albums released 25/13/7 years ago on top of iTunes world?!? I would turn craaaazyyyy! Can we do something?! My understanding was that the artist had to request that they be updated.

The video upload to me felt very "classic Celine footage" --- it felt when I was watching it that it has been with us forever, since the album was released -- almost as if I had seen it before.

But I guess that's just the feeling that classic Celine gives. I also felt the same way about watching her talk about the death of the motorcyle lover, could have been Rene.

Let's hope they release more BTS, and especially stuff where she sings and goofs around too. And not premiering at 8am lol.

So the love scene was with George Michael on the soundtrack?

Not to burst your bubble, but the #SayYesCeline campaign has been going for over 2 months, and now we're struggling to reach even 1,000 signatures; whereas Gaga's fans have a petition in the tens of thousands. Even if we the fans really want these things, it's hard to get the word out. You have to have a coherent marketing plan, then fight against the algorithms for people's attention. Even if 20,000 people see your post, how many of them will actually ACT on the call to action? From our experience, not very many. You have to have people flooding the comment sections of all her social media and posting the hashtag, and we've just not seen that in high enough numbers with Céline fans.

I know, you're right... Gaga and Taylor have a very active fandom, probably with a younger crowd (in average) which helps when it comes to social media. And... Of course, their teams surfed on the wave and unfortunately, we cannot count on TC... But who knows?! Maybe one day :)

I am confident they will if we post the right thing----unlike me posting the link which got taken down. The Youtube comments are on the side of the campaign!

Does anyone know the specifc dates that each of the tracks of FIY were recorded? Do we have that information anywhere?
Posted

So, I was trying to figure out which song it was that Celine was recording and showed to Whitney Houston when they were in the same studio and they were chatting (as revealed by Celine in September 1995 interview). Whitney was definitely recording the "Waiting to Exhale (Shoop, Shoop)" album and Celine was recording Falling Into You.

They were both in LA. Without knowing the exact dates, I narrowed it down to these songs....

1. Falling Into You

2. Because You Loved Me

3. I Don't Know

4. If That's What It Takes

5. Fly

If I had to bet, I would say that the song that Celine let Whitney hear Falling Into You because one website mentions Whitney at a "Tracken Place" for her album, and another mentions Celine recorded that song---and none of the others on the list--at a Track Records in LA. Celine worked in many LA recording studios, so that seems to be the most likely one.

What do you guys think was the reason they decided to shoot the IACBTMN video in Pague? I think that it certainly wasn't because of that particular castle, because there are many impressive castles closer to them. I think the main reason were the costs of the music video. Shooting it in Prague probably cost them way less that it would in the US. Edited by ryba

Could be a reason, but not necessarily. Maybe she had plans to promote in Europe and they fit the shooting within her calendar. Don't think money was an issue for them back then :-D

Don’t know if there were additional factors in Céline’s case, but it’s usually down to cost - I’ve shot abroad many times due to favorable exchange rates, cheaper local labor, buy-out talent, non-union talent status, etc. It’s common for US shoots to go abroad to save money, although the savings must be significant to show relatively substantial and verifiable savings to the union to justify not shooting domestically (if you’re a union signatory). For years, Canada’s exchange rate vs. the US made it a common destination. These days it’s more likely to be somewhere in S. America (Mexico, Uruguay), New Zealand, or Prague.

P.S., In case you’re interested, in order to justify shooting abroad to the union, those significant production savings must be production hard costs-related, not talent-related savings. You can’t use cheaper talent costs as a reason to shoot abroad and avoid having to pay prevailing union talent rates (SAG/AFTRA would not be happy about that!).

I'm not expert, but they certainly would have wanted a European destination for castles...and castle architecture varies widely. Savings probably played a part, but then again....they spent all of that money to do a shoot in that Italian town and that seems like that could have be set in a different place to save more money for sure.
