Hi all,

 

Just got back from the second Sydney concert.

 

Same set list as other Aussie shows however was very saddened to see only half of the Arena being used.

 

Was it like this on Saturday night?

 

They had big curtains up all around the top level which holds at least 10,000 people. It was only 50% of capacity.

OMG EOM sounds amazing, much better than the "empty" album version, love the piano touch. This is much better than the William version. This is more full, than the album version and much more varied than the william version, this needs to be a world wide sumemr single!!! Promoted with this live video, no dubb over with the empty studio track.

 

The live version of the TC tour is the best version of Eyes On Me!

 

haha lol thats what i thought, it sounds more mysterious and fuller than the album version.

its weird that the full dancy rock songs from TC sounds more empty in the tour than on the album... its the other way around...

I kind of fell asleep in the car on the way home Lol....but I'm awake and here now.

Ok, same setlist as Saturday night. Celine talked a little more, probably the only difference. She seemed more emotional in My Love and My Heart Will Go On...or maybe I'm just imagining it cuz I was more emotional!

I don't think anything was lip synched (spelling?) because she kept yelling out "hi Sydney" and "sing with me" and stuff through a lot of the songs. It didn't sound totally identical to Saturday night either. But I'm not entering a debate, cuz I really don't care.

About the arena- it was not like that on Saturday night. I don't think it was half the stadium blocked off? Less than half, surely? It didn't look like a really big area. But yeah, we got upgraded too, which was interesting. I'm guessing the reasons are; the postponement, the fact that it was the second concert, and it being a Sunday. Because she totally sold out on Saturday.

 

Oh and thanks, I probably will need a support group LOL. It feels hard being alive today.

Randomness- it amazes me how Celine can walk backwards in shoes like that, and never fall or trip. She's so coordinated.

wow, the show last night was amazing!!!!!

 

comparing it to the Vegas show, I must say I preferred Vegas A LOT better, but at the same time this show was FAB, and it was nice to see a different side of Celine. The costumes, hair and makeup all look amazing live. And everything sounded almost flawless!!

 

Highlights for me were:

My Love (OMG......so emotional.Words cant describe)

MHWGO (Obviously!, lol)

Eyes On Me (HOTNESS)

All By Myself (you cant go past that NOTE!!! "ANYMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRREEEEEEEE"!!! lol)

 

I was thrilled with the opening I Drove All Night intro too, I am DYING for that remix in cd quality (does anyone have it, or is it specifically for the tour?). And the fashion interlude too, she looks stunning and HOT in it. The MHWGO one is cute too with the Titanic scenes, but nothing compared to A New Day's MHWGO intro.

 

T bought the FANTASTIC program! It's so so damn good, so many beautiful photos and packaged beautifully in the hard cover with the hologhram! I am very impressed, it was worth the 50 bucks i paid for it.

 

Im so sad it's over :-( I miss the anticipation. I have an exam today too and I cant focus on my studying, i miss the concert :-(

 

if anyone has any specific questions I can try to answer for you!

Oh and I just wanted to add, even though I didn't think the crowd was as good last night compared to Saturday, Celine was still AMAZING!!! She sounded sooooooooooo incredible!!! And I even spotted Rene in the crowd, which was cool. But Celine is such a professional and such a trooper. She's got some really funky moves as well!!

And we want Celine to dance more, why? I think if she dances too much it'd compromise the vocals...she did a bit of dancing though, and it was so cute all her moves haha.

To answer your question in regard to the seating.

 

The Acer Arena can hold 20,000 people for a concert.

 

I have been there a number of times.

 

I can't comment on the Saturday show however the Sunday was configured at substantially reduced capacity. The entire top level which originally was earmarled for the Silver and Bronze tickets was covered by giant red "curtains". T he Arena actually looked nice that way. I would say there were 10,000 - 12,000 last night.

 

You can tell that by the fact that teh corporate boxes were at the tip of the seating when in fact there is a whole second level of the stadium beyond that. If it was your first time there you could not even tell which is a credit to how they presented the show last night.

 

I am assuming Sat night the Arena was at full capacity (20,000) otherwise they would not have released a second show in the first place.

 

Obviously the promotor overestimated demand for a second show. Or more to the point the willingness of people to pay $300-$400 for a ticket.

 

Celine could have easily sold out 2-3 shows if the pricing was more realistic. Only die hard fans will pay $400 a ticket. The promotor allocated far too much of the stadium ie 60% plus to high prioced tickets of $300 plus.

 

Hence many people at the second show being "upgraded". I paid for Silver tickets at $150 each however the seating map cleary showed them as $350 Platnium for the first show.

 

I was just abit disappointed as it took away alot of the atmosphere at such a reduced capacity.

 

I am sure Celine and Rene would have felt abit bad too.

 

I just think the promoter got too greedy here.

 

Would be good if somone form the first show could confirm that it was in full configuartion mode.
