Did anyone get a letter from Acer Arena?

 

I got one yesterday. I'm just going to copy/paste what I wrote up on my livejournal, so sorry about the excessive use of capslock - I was very excited.

 

OH MY GOD I GOT A LETTER FROM ACER ARENA AND INSIDE WAS A PICTURE OF CELINE AND IT SAYS ACER ARENA SAYS THANK YOU FOR MAKING THE SYDNEY CONCERTS SUCH A SUCCESS! WE SINCERELY APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT.

 

+ I've never, ever received a "thank you" letter for attending a concert before in my entire life. I think this is so incredible of them to do this.

+ I really want to think that it was Céline/her management's idea to do that because SHE IS THAT FRIGGIN' AMAZING.

Hean01 - thank you for sharing your story!! You're so lucky!! I really wish I'd have stayed back to try and meet her, but my parents wanted to leave When Céline told the security guard that it was okay to get the photo, that was so amazing, and I'm so glad she did, she really is such a beautiful soul.

I just compared two different videos of "Can't Fight The Feelin'", the one is from April 5th and the other is from April 5th and I have to say they sound EXACTLY the same! reading fans' impressions on celine's concerts i get a bit envious. i travelled from new zealand to find the concert cancelled (i don't care about postponing) the morning of the show. pissed off and more. renee, you suck, i know you read this. i know you're most impressed if i would cry at oprah's, but don't have the means anymore. i spent my savings coming to sydney. good job making so much money and dismissing the ones who facilitate the whole thing to happen. so greedy to make money, that the concerts were lined up every second day or so. good luck from now on.

Idiot. Would you have prefered Celine to go on stage sick, damage her voice even more, and give a lousy show? Then you'd probably be on here whining about how you spent your savings on a show that wasn't any good. I do however understand why your mad. I had to cancel my Melbourne ticket as rescheduling all my flights to see Brisbane, Sydney AND Melbourne wasn't feesable after all the changes. I don't know what to say apart from"you annoy me". I do know onw thing though, Rene is a little too busy to read the forums.......

I went into the Intercontinental and waited for her to arrive back there...and met her there...she was absolutely beautiful...told the group of us to come up and see her...she hugged us...and had a picture with everyone...signed everything we had...and was so so so sweet.......

 

I am still very much in shock that it actually happened! I wish I stayed after seeing her at the loading dock after the second show as she got out and had pictures taken with fans etc... but she left much later than she did on the Saturday...as she met Alan Jones, Human Nature all backstage after the show...

I understand your disappointment and anger. Many peopple were in the same situation as yourself however a person's health is more important than a concert. Hopefully in time you will be able to accept this and realise how difficult a decision it would have been to postpone the concerts, and continue to support this talented artist in the future.

Hey Hean, Thanks so much for sharing your Celine story. Her generosity and kindness is outstanding and most of us understand how much we are blessed. I will take your suggestion and make my own opportunity to meet her. I tried in Vegas but she couldn't stop then. She was a sweety and waved really intensely back at me and my friends from her car. And then Nick (her security man) came out and made sure to have her autograph some of our things.

 

I hope you get more Celine moments in future, but if not, I'm sure this moment will be etched in your heart & mind forever!

On a site i cannot mention, you can download a almost high quality video from the Sydney Concerts... it contains the intro, speech, ABM, and RDMH... recorded almost front row
