I expected a bit more... Why is the backing vocals drown her in the first verse? And why does this aswell as SOL sound drained and booring and energied out, like someone who's tryin to run in water??

 

This (and SOL) could be so much better live, I am absolutely sure of it!

 

And why are these new acts so short? If they would shorten anything it sould be the old booring tracks she always sings... the "standards"...

Hey everybody!! I only just joined this forum like 2 secs ago soo i dont really know what im doing...but ill try to make a start.

 

As you can see the topic title is 'Who else has met Celine Dion?' The reason why i created this is because im very anxious to know how many people have actually had the chance to meet her...whether it be for 10 minutes or even 20 seconds!! Im sure it would still be an awesum experience! Let me share one of my most memorable experiences with you guys...

 

I went to her Sydney concert (5/04/08) and it was trully one of the best nights ever!! Though we were sitting really far away...like the inner-most seats of the OUTER-most ring, her voice was soo incredible that you could seriously feel the seats vibrate!! Or maybe that was just the loud beats...either way, it was great! So you might be thinking...why didn't i just buy the most expensive tickets and get the best seats in the house since this is probably going to be the only time i see her, right?! Well...i would have done that, but the tickets were given to me as a Christmas present so i had to take it...but otherwise I'd be right up there! I was feeling kinda down with the seating since Celine appeared ant-sized. But this was all about to change after the concert finished!!

 

My relatives were heading off to the EXIT in acer arena along with all the other people. I stopped them and said, "Hey, i think im gonna stay behind and see if i can meet her." My sister said to me, "Errrr okay...i dont think you'll even get a chance to meet her, but good luck with it!! (in a sarcastic way) So there i was, in the middle of the narrow EXIT corridor, squeezing my way back up to the main concert floor. I approached one of the security guards and asked them where Celine might be. She responded with a mere, "I dunno. I only work here and we havnt even met Celine. She should be coming out of the Loading Dock though. Try that." I followed her advice and arrived at the loading dock. There were about 30 fans already waiting there. It was about 11pm and probably around 14 degrees Celsius. I only had a T-shirt on, so the wait was FREEZING!! Car after car came out of the loading docks and all the fans continued to question the whereabouts of Celine. A man even came over and told us that she had just left 3 minutes ago and we missed it all. With complete determination to meet this Celine...i remained patient in the painstaking cold...

 

It was then that a black Mercedes S-class reversed into an opening in the main concert block. I knew that this MUST be Celine's car because no other car reversed in. After another 20 minute wait (it was now 12.25am) a security guard marched up from the Loading Dock and commanded everyone to pull to the side and clear the path. This was it! A convoy of three black, dark-tinted cars followed behind him and stopped right at the front of the Loading Dock. It was impossible to see who was inside the cars but the first car was the black Mercedes. Two security guards (later known to be Celine's personal guards) exited the second car and stood in front of the rear passenger's window of the Merc. The fans were rushing over to the car, advancing with haste and persisted to see Celine. One of the guards shouted out, "Celine would like to sign everything. No pushing! Wait in the line." The window wound down and there she was. Celine Dion and Rene Charles next to her. It was a perfect photo moment. She looked stunning and as good as she does on tv!! I was right at the front this time and the guard took my 'Celine concert program' which i had bought for AUD $50 at the concert, and handed it over to her to sign. I went forward to collect it and seized the opportunity to praise her and shake her hand. After telling her how awesome she was tonight i asked if i could shake her hand. She said "sure" in a very soft and subtle way, and so she shook my hand. That was a moment!! My hands were actually really clammy and icy cold...and i think she was like urghh thats cold!! lol

 

But it doesn''t stop there. After some 5 minutes of signing autographs i somehow ended up at the side of her window. I couldn't leave without taking a picture with a music superstar which ive always always wanted to meet!! So i asked her..."Can I please take a picture with you Celine?" She replies, "Okay, a quick one" As i get the camera out, one of the guards shouts out, "No! Celine has to go so no more pictures or autographs." But then Celine says," No, no. Its okay. Just one last quick one." That meant so much to me!! I handed the camera over to the guard to take the picture for us, which he reluctantly did with a few grunts!! She said goodbye and thank you to all and the convoy drove off........that was a nightfor me as u might imagine.

 

Anyways...if you read this massively long essay-like story of a very very very memorable moment, then THANKS HEAPS FOR READING MY CELINE STORY!!

 

So...to all those Celine fans out there who really want to meet her and will be going to one of her concerts soon...then...maybe you'd like to take this as an inspirational story to get out there and look for her cuz there are always opportunities out there, except you have to create the opportunities and not just wait for them to come around!! Good luck to all!! hahaha
