kathyc25 Posted August 4, 2008 at 07:18 PM Posted August 4, 2008 at 07:18 PM "Tales of Beedle the Bard" will be released on Dec. 4 this year! Aside from the tales themselves, the book will feature an introduction, illustrations by JK herself, a commentary by Dumbledore and references to certain characters in the series. MusicMatch Posted August 5, 2008 at 11:17 AM Posted August 5, 2008 at 11:17 AM (edited) I love harry potter! I've read the books so many times The last rumour that I heard about Harry potter was that J.K Rowling is wiritng another ''small'' book to fill up the part where the 7th book has ended. So we'll probably read how it goes on with their lives. I do hope that there will be some book where you can read how the kids are doing at school and somehow get Harry involved in there. I do have to say that I thought the end of the 7th book was bit.. empty. I'm not sure how to put it, it feels like i'm missing something there Not sure what that is. Do any of you share this feeling? Or am I just crazy? I'm not sure how to put it, it feels like i'm missing something there Not sure what that is. Do any of you share this feeling? Or am I just crazy? That was how JK envisioned the epilogue right from the start. She didn't want to throw in too much info bec. the main goal was simply to show that there was life for the main characters after Voldemort. Everything we need to know about the Potter universe will be detailed in a future encyclopedia. For now though, I'm eagerly awaiting this collection of short stories. The book contains "extensive footnotes" by Dumbledore who analyzes Beedle's tales in relation to the 16th-century Muggle world that was then in a witch-hunting frenzy. We'll also be learning more about the history of magic wands and the Dark Arts. Quote http://cdn.webecoist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/modern-pet-solo-blown-glass.jpg
amyja89 Posted August 5, 2008 at 07:59 PM Posted August 5, 2008 at 07:59 PM (edited) The only thing that I was slightly dissapointed with was how mediocre Voldemort's death scene was, I was expecting something spectacular to go on for pages and pages, but it was all over pretty quickly and I had to read it a few times to actually realise what had happened! I mean, the entire series was building up to this final confrontation between Harry and Voldemort, and I just wanted something absolutely MEGA to happen! Prince Whiskers Posted August 5, 2008 at 08:05 PM Posted August 5, 2008 at 08:05 PM (edited) Yeah, the final face-off was kinda anticlimactic. The graveyard battle in GOF was just superb. Also during the battle of Hogwarts, I think JK could have made Harry's discovery of all the dead bodies lined up a lot more heartbreaking, the emotions I was feeling were a lot stronger than those conveyed on the page, for sure! Maybe but JK probably didn't want to stray far from the celebratory tone following Voldemort's downfall. If there was one thing that TRULY showed us the core of Harry's heartbreak, it was the death of Sirius in OOTP. SensationalCeline Posted April 12, 2009 at 04:50 PM Posted April 12, 2009 at 04:50 PM I love the Harry Potter series. I can't wait for the new movie to come out this summer. Hopefully it will be good. But, I heard that the actors and actresses were getting tired of waiting for the Harry Potter movies to finally be finished filming because they wanted to be known for other things besides Harry Potter. The last movie is going to be in two parts. Quote http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg280/spoiledrottenbrat4063/Celine%20Dion/CELINESIGGY.jpg

Soloni Posted April 13, 2009 at 06:05 PM Posted April 13, 2009 at 06:05 PM I actually think it's good they make the last movie in 2 parts. Okay, we have to spend a little more money on it, and it will be a pain waiting for the second part. But at least we can be pretty sure they will get all the important stuff in the movie. Remember there is lot of different scenes, so its necessary Quote http://i416.photobucket.com/albums/pp249/Celinesoloni/nick-huh2.gif When Life Hands You Lemons, Throw Them Back And Yell; I Want Celine DionCelineDionGraphics
Krys Posted April 13, 2009 at 06:10 PM Posted April 13, 2009 at 06:10 PM But at least we can be pretty sure they will get all the important stuff in the movie im skeptical about it. they totally butchered 1,2,3 (the scenes were all over the place!). 4 was acceptable. 5 imo, was the truest to the book (but they missed a big scene: how the fountain saved Harry's life) Quote

ennostiel Posted April 17, 2009 at 10:31 AM Posted April 17, 2009 at 10:31 AM I'm a huge fan of the whole HP series, not a single line of any of the books got me bored! I absolutely love JK Rowling's style and the way she portrays all characters and shows emotions and connects things that we hardly paid attention to so that they make perfect sense... a masterpiece. And I love the films, too; probably only the first part truly represented the book (maybe also the second and third) but hey, the books grew much longer and it's hard to fit everything into a two-hour movie, and I really think all the actors were chosen perfectly. I love Hermione and think of her as my alter-ego (really, many maaany similarities between us), and I can't think of anyone better portraying her than Emma Watson But all of the boys, including Harry and Ron, grew less and less handsome with each new movie...
