That is not good that the concert didn't go well. :glare:

seeing a Madonna concert is a dream for me. i've been following her since Ray of Light. Alex is right, she can put on a great GREAT great show. however, i watched some of the concert clips in YouTube, and i must say, the concert looks quite cheap, which is strange for a Madonna show. she has a nice voice imho. (c'mon, not able to belt those crazy high notes doesn't mean you can't sing anyways).

Bedtime Stories, Erotica, Like a Prayer and True Blue (which is, again imho, her best performance vocally) are my all time favorites. :P

the amsterdam show got great reviews. madonna even complimented the audience by saying they were the best crowd she had so far on this tour. no strong vocals but we know this about her but the show itself was really great. anyone went to this one ?

my boyfriend went to it and he really enjoyed it. he said that her vocals aren't very good, although at some points it was. He said the show itself was awesome. I guess when you go to a Madonna concert it hangs more on the dancers, the lightning etc then on Madonna self :whistling:

I don't know. But honestly... it's not as good as we are used to by Madonna.

She keeps on playing the guitar, which makes songs as Borderline, Hung up, Human nature and Ray of light awful.

I've been to six tours. (Only missed Virgin Tour en Girlie Show, which I did see on video/dvd of course).

My favorite Madonna tours:

1. Blond Ambition

2. Girlie Show

3. Drowned World

4. Re-Invention

5. Confessions

I read on the BBC website that people's general opinion is that Madonna has reinvented herself one too many times.

It said,

"The 40,000-seat first date was all but sold out... Some fans at the Millennium Stadium were not so happy with her latest reinvention.

"She didn't do any of the traditional stuff that everyone loves her for," said Susan Harvey from Cardiff.

"For £85 a ticket, I was really disappointed."

The show is split into four sections - Pimp, Old School, Gypsy and Rave

Danielle Wheeler, 26, said she was "not as good as Kylie", while Stephanie Olokopa, 20, from London, gave the show six out of 10.

"She was late and she didn't even thank the people," she said."

My manager said that he's seen Madonna once before - I can't remember where - but he said it was "meh". He also commented on the lack of interaction with the crowd, and that for the ticket price, he expected much more of a show.

She's never been one of my favorite artists, but even with her history, I'd never go to see her.

Madonna London Show a Disaster

TheLondonPaper.Com

MADONNA fans were furious today after the Diva was 40 minutes late on stage at Wembley -causing them to miss their last train home.

The 50-year-old singer was scheduled on stage at 8.30pm last night for the London-leg of her Sticky and Sweet tour.

But she didn't start her first song until 9.10pm meaning her two-hour show ran past the 10.30pm curfew which is in place to ensure concert-goers can get back into central London and make rail connections.

And thousands more inside the venue walked out in disgust after speakers failed in areas of the stadium leaving them unable to hear the songs.

Fan Aidan McCann, 31, who paid £70 for his ticket, said: "I have been a Madonna fan for over 25 years and have gone to all her concerts but the one in London last night was an absolute disgrace.

"There was a lack of screens and you could not hear her. Her promoters over sold tickets for areas of the stadium where the view was really bad.

"I spoke to the customer services manager and he said they had more than 3,000 complaints within the first set and they only had five customer services people on.

"People moved into the aisles and then security were forcing people out of the stadium and into the concourse. Everyone was furious and shouting.

"After seeing Kylie Minogue recently, all I can say is that maybe it is time Madonna gave it up. Kylie charges half the price for a ticket, actually signs live, looks better and cares about the audience."

Online chatrooms were also flooded with complaints. One fan called Joe wrote: "Very, very, very bad sound! I am a huge Madonna fan and felt like it was a huge letdown.

So many people were leaving even halfway through the show.

Near me there were a foo boo's and people losing interest. Not to mention, that the stewards at one point were telling people to make the best of a bad situation and dancing to sit down!"

After the gig, thousands of people rushed to Wembley Central Tube station and police were called calm angry fans, many of whom were forced to get expensive taxis home.

The station was even closed at one point due to safety fears about overcrowding on the platform.

A TfL spokesperson said: ''Last night's Madonna concert at Wembley Stadium was scheduled to finish at 10.30pm when a high level of Tube services were scheduled to ferry concert-goers home.

"Whilst the event finished approximately 40 minutes later when Tube services were less frequent the Tube did continue to run until 1am and was heavily used. In addition 11 different bus routes were also still serving the Wembley complex.''

A spokesman for Madonna denied she was late on stage.

He said: "Stage times are only guidelines. I was at the gig and the sound was fine."

When a George Michael gig over-ran at Wembley by 13 minutes last year, the singer was fined £130, 000.

Madonna is doing really wel here in The Netherlands. Both "4 Minutes" and "Give it 2 me" were #1 hits. And now she has a new song in the charts due to loads of airplay: "Miles Away"!

pfffffffff nowadays it's so easy to get a number one hit here! it's mostly airplay cos singles aren't sold much anymore.

I hope you are right. "Miles away" is not an official single, so in your opinion it could still go to #1? It deserves to be #1 so much more than the first two (official) singles! But I'm afraid it won't be such a big hit, as it's not released as a single. It hasn't even got a videoclip...

I do have to say that the first two singles were also high on the sales and downloadcharts, so just airplay is not enough I'm afraid.

The Candy Box set is not worth the money at all.

I was excited to buy it, but opened it and haven't opened it since.

It does have some remixes on it, but it's nothing too special.

no news about madonna's upcoming GH? :P

Only that it will not contain any new songs.

It is official, "Miles away" is to be the third single from the album. Hopefully "Devil wouldn't recognize you" and "Beat goes on" are to be fourth and fifth single.

Madonna is getting more weird every day. :D What's up with giving the finger to her fans? :D If it was a joke, it wasn't a good one. :nono:

i've said it a million times, but i'm still hoping that Voices will be released. my gawd i so love the "who is the master? and who is the slave" line... and probably because it sounds like an "outtake" from the Like a Prayer album (minus JT of course) which remains one of my all time fave madonna albums. and they should have included Ring My Bell in all editions of Hard Candy! i don't have the Japanese edition, but i downloaded the song, and i think it's a lot better than Incredible (she sounded like Minnie Mouse in a helium on that song lol), and She's Not Me.

I have to say that the snippets I saw from the "Confessions" tour on TV it seemed like quite a show and I was at elast somewhat impressed. Watched a little bit of this year's tour as well but...it feels very repetitive and if you take away the technical aspects of the show, there's absolutely nothing left. Like...huge screeens, computer graphics, dancers....meh.

"Ring my bell" is awful. But so is "Incredible". However I really do like "She's not me". It's even one of the best on her current tour with four fake Madonna's. Really hilarious!

As for "Voices"... I didn't like the song until... I heard an "orchestral version" on youtube. It's really good!!! If anyone has a link to a download of that version, then please let me know!

I'm a huge fan. Ever since her very first hit "Holiday" in 1984. I had my room covered with hundreds of pictures when I was a teenager and I went to every tour that brought her to the Netherlands:

Who's that girl, Blond Ambition, Re-Invention, Confessions, Sticky & Sweet (and I even went to Paris for her Drowned World Tour).

BUT I have to admit that I was dissappointed in her last tour. I saw her live in Amsterdam. BUT PLEASE... Madonna, get rid of the guitar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She has never made a rock album, still she acts on stage like a rock chick. Turning "Human Nature", "Borderline", "Hung up" (and other songs) into rock songs... AWFUL! I thought I went to Madonna, not Metallica.

In all the show had some great moments: She's not me, Like a prayer, Beat goes on, Devil wouldn't recognize you, You must love me... But I'm used to concerts that totally blow me away. I've never seen a show as brilliant as Blond Ambition for instance. So please: Madonna drop the guitar!

Sunday 14 September

75 000 tickets sold in Portugal...The show was amazing...was the second great show of my life and the first in my country.

The middle age people were expecting more old songs, but I was glad with the track list.

My fav part was during “Milles Away”, she asked to sing with her…I Just Love the song. The song “Devil” has a similar part with Celine singing “Alone” in the middle of that scream. She also did de \m/ with her hand....and I thought other Celine copy.

2 hours nonstop....amazing...I want to see other of her shows

Madonna looked happy during the all show
