Nikosn17 Posted April 22, 2008 at 11:56 AM Posted April 22, 2008 at 11:56 AM I disagree. She has always been respectful to every singer even if he/she is a complete looser. She never said anything bad about another artist.NO way! she always bashed Whitney and Celine coz they were not songwriters, I've read many articles(also when she was interviewed by a famous italian newspaper) Mariah is used to those declarations WHAT!? You are dead wrong with that one. She never said anything about these two especially for Celine. She may said something about Whitney cause she worked with her but everything she said about her was positive. If your sources are some stupid tabloids that hasn't even interviewed her and make up stories because they don't have a life then ok... I see why you think like this. I can't understand why you try to make her look rude. Like I said before when somebody asks her about somebody else she always change the topic. She just doesn't like to talk about this because you see what people (including you) are talking about her when she doesn't do this. I can't imagine what it would be if she was talking about other artists often. Quote

Nikosn17 Posted April 22, 2008 at 12:10 PM Posted April 22, 2008 at 12:10 PM (edited) Oh God. I don't believe it and I won't. She is just not that type. I think I have watched/listened/read a lot more interviews with Mariah than you but anyway... Same thing was about Jennifer Lopez like 3-4 months ago when they said she called her a pig or something like that. She denied that when they asked her. She would never say something like this. She often says that she is not only a singer but a writer as well and that not many female singers write their songs but I doubt she said ''Ohhh Whitney and Celine are blah because they don't write their own songs, duh they are not in my category'' or something like that. That is what I call rude. Edited April 22, 2008 at 12:11 PM by Nikosn17 Quote

GoldenLeaf Posted April 22, 2008 at 11:19 PM Posted April 22, 2008 at 11:19 PM (edited) Carey Upsets Fans At Signing Mariah Carey fans booed the pop superstar at an autograph signing on Thursday when she showed up two hours late and left before signing albums for devotees who had waited eight hours to meet her. The singer, who was promoting her new album E=MC2 at Universal City Walk in Los Angeles, left tired fans fuming when she stopped signing and "went Home." Carey fans, who waited in line to meet their heroine, have flooded the Internet to slam the diva, claiming she showed up two hours late and didn't stay around long enough to meet and greet the 1,000 devotees who were promised time with the singer. One angry fan says, "The first 1,000 people who bought her album from (record store) FYE got a guaranteed meet and greet (wristband), but she left with more than a hundred people still waiting. Some fans booed and others even trashed their copies of Mariah's new CD and yelled profanities at her." http://www.imdb.com/news/wenn/2008-04-21/ Sorry if this was posted before.Whoriah Scarey is one arrogant ... and her dumb lambs still follow her. Capitol Nashville act Lady Antebellum is the top newcomer at #3, with 47k. Disney’s Hannah Montana Best of Both Worlds Concert is one of the week’s top gainer, moving #27-4, +151%, second only to Rhino’s Juno soundtrack, riding the release of the movie DVD, #43-7, +195%. The rest of the Top 10 includes SBMG/Commercial Music Group’s Now 27 (#5), MCA Nashville’s George Strait (#6), Razor & Tie’s Alvin & the Chipmunks (#8), Big Machine/Universal Republic’s Taylor Swift (#9) and Warner Bros.’ R.E.M. (#10). Vagrant’s Thrice (#18), Virgin’s Tristan Prettyman (#19), Nickelodeon’s Naked Brothers Band (#31), Spinefarm’s Children of Bodom (#34), Atlantic’s Rush (#36) and Astralwerks’ The Kooks (#39) all made their chart bows. Mercury Nashville’s Sugarland (#45), Rounder’s Robert Plant & Alison Krauss (#46) and Def Jam/IDJ’s Janet Jackson (#47) all re-enter the Top 50. corr_azy Posted April 23, 2008 at 12:40 PM Posted April 23, 2008 at 12:40 PM There is some serious hate for Mariah here. I am a big fan of both Mariah and Celine but I would put all this bashing down to jealousy over how well Mariah is doing as compared to Celine. While I am a bigger fan of Mariah's earlier music than her current music, I have to say that I think it was brave of Mariah to actually break away and decide to do RnB way back in 1996, which is totally not what people think about her trying to fit in with the "hip-hop crowd" and to "sell records". It is ridiculous. Anyway it seems that E=MC2 is coming up to be Mariah's best first week sales ever. Quote
