Wow Carly will sing Without You? That can be VERY interesting!!

They ever did a Celine dion week ? If they don't maybe they should would be interesting...

 

I'm looking forward to the show. Mariah will sing "Bye Bye" on the results show Wednesday.

 

Celine has yet to take part on AI as mentor. She was a mentor on the UK show "The X-Factor", but only Nikki sang a Celine song.

 

I know and she was so nice as always!!! but would be interesting to see people sing other songs of her except the Titanic (this is one of the most sang songs in auditions in this programe) on her week

I used to really like Mariah when she sung ballads that really showed off her voice, and the power she had but these days I'm not a fan. I think she tries too hard to git into a market that just isn't her. I wasn't a fan of her last album, I think there was 1 song I liked so I doubt I'll spend my money on her new one. I also don't like Mariah's attitude, she was on 'The Friday Night Project' a few weeks ago and I got the impression she loved herself and was very egotistical but I will admit she amused me.

don't get me wrong i do believe she really loves her fans. i love her, but she should not talk about how she take care of her voice cause it's very obvious that she lost it.

As for the newbie thing, I would have said the same thing to you when you gave your opinion about D'elles. It may not suit your taste but can't insult a classic album (and probably one of Celine's best albums) by calling it "boring".

 

I mean you sure are entitled to say something and we all know that you are a fan of Mariah, too but you can't say what she has to say and what not. If so, then I too would have asked Celine to shut up or something cos she shouldn't have said the things she said about the Olympics.

 

As for the newbie thing, I would have said the same thing to you cos you joined just 5 months back when you gave your opinion about D'elles. It may not suit your taste but can't insult a classic album (and probably one of Celine's best albums) by calling it "boring".

sorry for posting again, but before i leave, i just wanna speak what's on my mind and heart. i became a member here on december 21, 2007, exactly 4 days before christmas. and since then, it has become my playground. everytime i log in here, i feel such a deep joy that i can talk to other celine fans worldwide. can you imagine what an opportunity it was for me? im very glad that i became an active member here for the last 4 months. everytime i open my computer, i get really excited that i will talk to some fans again. know what's going on with celine, and you guys. i once thought that, ok this is a 'forum'. a place where i can freely speak my mind and share my thoughts and visions.

 

it all started when i compared D'ELLES to TAKING CHANCES. i posted that D'elles is boring for my taste. and to my surprise, i was shocked that few people are suddenly quoting my post, telling me that my post is like an insult to the album. but where is the insult in my post? where's the insult on the word 'boring' when im only sharing my opinion about the said album?

 

and now, the opinion i posted more than a week now is back (i almost forgot that i posted it!) through AllTheWay9108, and telling me what a stupid post it is and some words that i find really offending especially for a woman like me.

 

where's the respect for other's opinion here? why is it that everytime i see opinions (not only mine), there will always be someone who will quote it and will call it a stupid post and call the member 'dumb'? i'm sorry but i thought this forum is for everyone to share their opinions and emotions. as far as i can remember, there's never a time that i post a bad words to anyone here.

Yes, you were giving your opinion about the album and we (Alex, I and the others who adore 'D'elles') were also just trying to tell you that it definitely isn't a boring album. We weren't trying to insult you or trying to do anything near that. We were hoping that you would just "enjoy" and "appreciate" the music, vocals and the lyrics in it. We just wanted to give it a second chance and "maybe" start liking it. No one tried to start up a fight with you cos (I dont know about the others but) I defo am not trying to start one.

Isn't this why the forum there?? To try to maybe "correct" some wrong opinion and hope that that person changes it by taking into consideration others' opinions as well??

 

As for the respect, AllTheWay1908 and all of us have our own individual respect and identity too. We also feel hurt sometimes that others quote our opinions and put it to wrong use. Many people have quoted mine and "corrected" me when I was wrong. That didn't mean that I would just get angry and leave this forum. If it would have been so, this forum wouldn't have lasted at all. Instead I accepted the "facts" and changed my opinion after knowing what's what in reality and not just what I think of it.

 

i'm sorry but i thought this forum is for everyone to share their opinions and emotions. as far as i can remember, there's never a time that i post a bad words to anyone here.

Exactly! Everyone shares their opinion here. And if one member tries to rectify the other, it doesn't mean that the corrected person would leave. If you are angry that either AllTheWay1908 or I have hurt you in any way, you would take this to PM and we can sort it out. That is why the provision of a PM there. And if you have any problem with a particular member, just tell the admins about it. They will take care of it.

Mariah Carey hung up during a radio interview following a dispute over her record sales.

 

The singer appeared to hastily end the conversation yesterday, when BBC Radio 1 DJ Reggie Yates suggested she had only sold 80 million albums worldwide.

 

Just before the phone went dead, Mariah said: "Is that the right quote? I don't know. I have to ask someone I don't know if that is accurate."

 

Reggie said: "I think she took that as an insult. That is how the conversation ended with me and Mariah! She took 80 million albums as an insult. She is mad cool."

 

Mariah has sold around 165 million records worldwide, and is the second-best selling female artist of all time behind Celine Dion.

 

The interview had started well, with Mariah laughing and joking and speaking in a British accent.

 

She happily talked about her favourite movies, her new single Touch My Body and her upcoming album E=MC2.

 

Earlier this month, Mariah revealed she loves being called a diva because it means she is successful, but insists isn't a demanding person.

 

The singer said: "The actual definition is 'a talented female singer.' Definition two is 'a difficult woman who is successful,' I believe. So I take it as a compliment.

 

"I guess I am a diva in many ways! When it comes to certain things, yes, I can be difficult and a little bit rigid about what I want. Am I demanding? I don't think I'm demanding enough."

All right. So I have mixed feelings about Miss Mariah. On one hand, I think she had some of the most amazing vocals of the early 90s, with songs like All I've Ever Wanted, Without You, etc - on the other hand, I'm crazily jealous that her songs fly to the top of the charts when she hardly has a voice anymore.

 

Today on Oprah she basically whispered the damn song until the end! By the way - she looks fantastic again. She looked bad during the Emancipation promotion, but she looks great now.

 

But - yeah - I think I'll hold off on this album for a while....I usually only listen to about three to four of the songs on her recent albums anyway.

U urself have said this is a messageboard and ur entitled to ur opinion...which is ur right and nobody can stop you, similarly i have the right to say what i have to as well. Since ive been asked to...ill apologize for using the word 'stupid' even though i didnt think we'd be making mountains out of mole hills and u'd announce ur departure from the forum altogether jus cuz some random mariah fan like me took offence to ur post. If u thought i was so ridiculous u shouldve just ignored me,u think any mariah fan would sit around and watch someone randomly slay her for no reason.

alex i can't do it as my digicam needs some mending now. that's why i'm always using my webcam to take pics of my cds. i'm pretty sure somebody will put a HQ pics of the album art here. but believe me, it's not worth it. very simple. music wise, i still stick to TEOM. not that i hate it (since i only heard the full album twice), but too much raps killed the album. but there are actually couple of good songs here. but don't expect a powerhouse ballad here.

Wow I'm surprised. Where did you see too much rap ? The rap in TEOM was at least 3-4 times more. The only songs with rappers are Migrate,Cruise Control and Side Effects... And there are power ballads... what about ''I Stay In Love'' ?
