We are happy to bring to you an exclusive first look at the video shoot which took place in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, January 31, 2009. We would like to thank director Nick Cannon for granting us the privilege of covering the shoot and more, for graciously speaking on our camera to send a special message to the MariahDaily.com visitors! The one-block stretch of South Pecan Street was closed to traffic and promptly at 3:30pm, the video shooting commenced with a scene showing Mariah on a house porch singing. Below you will find the description of each of the scenes filmed, in the sequence that they were shot (not necessarily the sequence in which they will appear in the video). Director Nick called it a day at 10:00pm. Scene 1: Mariah is on the porch singing. At the end of the song, Rachel, Mariah's friend and choreographer enters the scene, hands her a puppy and she pets it.Scene 2: Mariah gets ice cream with two kids. The-Dream, driving a flashy sports car, passes by the neighborhood and sees Mariah and she joins him in the car.Scene 3: The-Dream and Mariah sing in the street. People from the neighborhood join in the scene.Scene 4: Skit. Mariah is seen cooking, and gets into a fight with The-Dream in the kitchen talking about unpaid bills, among other things. disadiva Posted February 1, 2009 at 06:15 PM Posted February 1, 2009 at 06:15 PM I don´t think E=MC2 was a flop but it wasn´t great either just mediocre album with some nice mid-tempo tracks there isn´t any great belt ballad there only Whispering high notes...in songs like For The Record, I Wish You well a gospel tingleling ballad... My Love with The Dream is similar to the songs she has been making since TEOM.Nothing new there. When the soundtrack to “Glitter” was promoted on Billboard Magazine, she grazed the cover and wore a T-shirt with the phrase I love New York, but the heart in love had a lot of pins through it. Next week, the cover of Billboard Magazine is all black because, incidentally, the terrorist attacks of 9/11 happened on the Tuesday “Glitter” was released. 2. The “Loverboy” single is deeply discounted by Virgin Records so as to give Mariah her 16th number one on the Billboard 200. However, the ridiculously-priced 49 cent CD single stalls at number two, given that her former label, Columbia, moves forward the release of Destiny’s Child single “Bootylicious” and discounts it as well. 3. Mariah makes an infamous appearance on MTV’s TRL wearing a skimpy summer outfit and pulling an ice cream cart. She looks distraught and flustered. 4. “We Belong Together” starts its run at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 by dislodging Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl.” Later it is revealed that the single benefited from a few thousand copies that were given away for free and they were erroneously counted towards that week’s chart. Then, it is said that since the magazine had been printed and delivered, no change would be made. Still, it is strange to me why wasn’t the song punished in any way. I remember back in 2000, Thalía’s “Entre El Mar Y Una Estrella” was removed a week from the Latin chart because the promotional spots for her “Arrasando” album included a substantial part of the song, and the monitors counted it as spins for the song. Then, when the problem was solved, the song was back atop the Latin charts. Odd also that this situation has to do with the former and current Mrs. Mottola. 5. 2007 becomes the only year in which Mariah has failed to place one song on the Billboard Hot 100. A single by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony featuring her misses the chart by a hair, placing on Billboard’s Bubbling Under chart. 6. 1996 becomes a benchmark in Mariah’s career, having scored the longest-running number one single ever with “One Sweet Day” (a record that stands today) and receiving praise and favorable criticism for her album. She’s nominated for a handful of Grammy Awards and is constantly shown at the televised event, sitting in the front row. She goes home empty-handed. 7. She has written or co-written 17 of her 18 number one songs in the US (“I’ll Be There” being the lone exception). However, her only two number one songs in the UK are covers: “Against All Odds” and “Without You.” Quote
