New Radio Impact Dates for "My Love"

Friday Morning Quarterback (FMQB), in its latest Available for Airplay, lists The-Dream's third single off his new Love vs. Money album, "My Love" featuring Mariah Carey, as scheduled to go for adds on the following dates:

 

• 2/17 Rhythm/Crossover

• 2/24 Mainstream

 

Love vs. Money is slated for release on Tuesday, March 10 and available now for pre-order at Amazon.com.

The Ballads Climbs 54-5 on Dutch Albums Chart

In the Netherlands, The Ballads took a massive leap from #54 to #5 on the official Top Albums chart this week!

 

The Ballads debuted at #45 but fell nine spots in its second week. In the third week, it made a 49-place climb to #5. The huge increase was reportedly attributable to Sony/Legacy's all-out TV and Radio blitz for the new album.

Mariah is about to earn her 2nd "uncertified" album after The Remixes. Celine's My Love will be her very first album not to get a certification from RIAA (but i'm positive it will reach the gold status one day). who would've thought even the unpromoted TCV1 got the gold certification (with i think over 800,000 copies, while MC's Glitter only sold a little over 700,000 but with a PLATINUM certification). oh well...

MC3 is just a working title. Don't think that it's gonna be the real title.

Some of her former albums also had different working title's:

Hero became Music Box

All That Glitters became Glitter

That Chick became E=MC²

 

As for working with The-Dream, I'm really excited about it. I really like Touch my body and My love.

Hope she won't work with JD for the new album. (If she does, let him keep his mouth...)

The-Dream spoke exclusively to Rap-Up.com about his involvement with Mariah Carey’s twelfth studio album, tentatively titled MC3.

 

“We’re working on M.C. stuff…incredible!” said the “Rockin’ That Thang” singer. “We’ve got seven songs already; it’s been like two weeks. We’re just moving right along, so hopefully she’ll just put the single out there in the next couple of months.”

 

The-Dream and producer Tricky Stewart have already written and produced the bulk of Carey’s follow-up to last year’s chart-topper E=MC². A release date for the new album has not been set, but the first single will likely be crafted by the hitmaking duo, who were also responsible for “Touch My Body.”

 

The Radio Killa Records founder will release his sophomore album Love vs. Money on March 10 featuring Mimi on the single “My Love.” He is also working with Christina Milian on her upcoming project.

Nice increase for E=MC2 and #1's.

The Ballads has become one of my fave discs. my dad loves it too and he even bought his own copy for his car. i used to wonder why they included few non-ballads track in here, but i slowly understood why. i guess it gives the album a "pause" from all the slower songs and it prevented the album from being a borefest. after all, the faster songs are all about "love" (though still not a ballad as the album title suggested). and not to mention they did an amazing job in remastering the older songs.

 

but i still find it weird why did Sony print all of MC's albums and videos in the booklet (including Virgin and IDJ's releases). for promotion or what?
