that's simply because during the early 90's, her voice wasn't processed as her newer releases. she didn't rely on studio magics during her vocal peak so the result is her songs are naturally done and less polished.

 

Actually that's one of the reasons why I don't like TEOM. The vocals are way tooooo unnatural (ex. Stay The Night, Mine Again). She sounds a lot more natural on E=MC2.

 

After all she sounds great on the studio as we all now... but I don't think it's all studio magic. I mean if it was all studio magic then everyone would sound like her. I think it's mainly cause she can have many takes and she said it herself that she records the different parts (vocally) on different days.

 

Like 1 day only wispering, 1 day only belting, 1 day only low notes ... etc.

Mariah on Scottish Radio in September?

Two new Scotland-wide shows - the 7pm to 10pm slot fronted by Radio Clyde's rising star Romeo, and the 10pm to 1am show presented by the same station's Gina McKie - will go live from September 15.

 

"A Scotland-wide show, broadcast from Radio Clyde where we have our most developed technology, will be better able to attract big name celebrities and that is what we feel the audience want. That is the reason we are doing this," Travis Baxter, managing director of Big City Radio, said.

 

The new show will launch with live appearances from singer Mariah Carey and Welsh rockers Stereophonics, Baxter added.
