Thank you so much for the full concert!!!! I just watched it. I hate to see you guys complaining so much. I loved it! I haven't watched other bootlegs, so maybe that's why, but she was great, even though she didn't smile or move too much! Her voice was f****** amazing! I was just stunned at All by My Self, the entire Soul section (This Is A Man's World and TJTWIM are just out of this world), the Queen tribute, My Love (my God this song is amazing!). After seeing River Deep Mountain High in Vegas, I wasn't so impressed with it in the beginning, because Vegas had those 50 dancers and all... But man, did she make up for it with the twirling of the mic's stick! I know she does this on the AND DVD, but it's so much more impressive live, in a show! Where the hell did she learn to do that?!! And she's fast too, like a real pro! I love it! There's no limit to her talents! I loved the live version of Eyes On Me and the new live version of I'm Alive. I swear I was expecting her to yell "How are you doing tonight?" like in Vegas

Too bad she didn't change any outfits... I thought I liked this dress, but now I decided I'm not so crazy about it, it's too baggy, you can't even see her shakin' what her mamma gave her

The bad point is that she didn't dance at all almost, though Jamie King was saying he's making her dance like never before. Speaking of him, I really fail to see his all-so-important contribution to the show. He's a coreographer more than anything, right? But most of the coreography is like the one in AND, or is inspired by it anyway.

Another bad point, for the fans, as well as for Celine, is that the stage is so far away from the first rows. I'm sure she got used to having people right there at her feet in Vegas and it was much easier to connect with people she could actually see. I bet she doesn't really see the audience, with all the lights and stuff, so I'm sure it's hard for her too, not having eye contact and seeing people's reactions.

Over all, you guys are so lucky she came to your country and I think it's a privilege to get to see her live and we should all stop criticizing her and asking so much of her and just enjoy her as well as we can, as long as we still have her touring. She has bad days as anyone else, but she's still giving her all on stage for us and all you have to do is listen to the perfect vocals to realize that.

Thank you once again for recording and sharing the full concert! It's great you were able to bring in such a good recording camera.

I really liked the beginning of I Drove All Night. After that it went downhill. It gets booring and Céline knows it. The passion that was once there is long gone. Standards which she has sung too many times, has lost their meaning, and the simple reason that they are expected to be there is not a reason strong enough.

 

The soul kicks in for the first time with My Love, and even though that performance isn't flawless it is still (or because of that) more genuine than any other performance of the concert.

 

We Will Rock You is as embarrasing as anyone can figure, not a smart move.

 

The second time a hint of genuine passion kicks in is with The Show Must Go On, her makeup may be flaking but it still stays on.

 

Barneys mini concert. Give one good reason why this ego trip was included? Costume change isn't good enough.

 

This Is A Man's World and That's Just The Woman In Me is two other performances which could lift this concert, but with too much booring souless space on the setlist the wieght becomes just too heavy.

 

Believe me or not but Love Can Move Mountains actually feels like a relief. This is one of the few performances which doesn't add to the feeling of a rushed through sound check.

 

Sad that quantity has higher priority than quality.

Just watched the whole show, wasnt the disaster that was described, i wasnt there in person but surely not the awful performance described. Wasnt her best show but the audience is so cold, far and distante... She did her best i think.

 

Great stage presence on some numbers and great vocals.

WOW! What an amazing treat to have the entire concert in such a great bootleg quality! A few observations about the tour in general:

 

She didn't change costumes at all for some reason! What's up with that, was there an explanation of some sort I missed?

 

Taking Chances sounded absolutely awesome. The high note at the end is incredible.

 

I DO NOT like the rushed arrangement of I'm Alive. It's too fast and sounds like she's rushing to get through it.

 

Alone is INCREDIBLE! All the high notes rock my world and I love the full song with the instrumental solos. I'm so pleased with it, it's much better than the cd version for me.

 

Shadow of Love is a complete snooze fest. This song doesn't translate well on tour for me. They need to do something with the arrangement.

 

Eyes on Me is tooooooo slooooooooow. They need to keep the original arrangement or speed this one up. That songs loses serious momentum in such a slow version.

 

That's Just the Woman in Me is INCREEEEEEDIBLE live on tour. I think it might even be better than the studio version. Her voice sounds more amazing on it than I could have hoped for.

 

The Show Must Go On - LOOOVE this one. She sounds awesome and I just love the whole meaning of it.

 

My Love - I adore this song so much, and I appreciate that she does the beginning acapella, but it doesn't fit as well as I would like it to. The ending is when it gets interesting, but I still love it!

 

Overall I enjoy the concert, but I question the song choice. It doesn't seem to flow very well for me. I'm sure it will get better as the year goes on, and I think her voice is incredible right now, but it's missing something.

 

That doesn't mean I'm not grateful for this bootleg, I'm so excited to have it! Thank you for making it available for us!

I'm watching it now... and I have to say I'm dissapointed mostly because I just noticed Celine lipping songs I didn't think she was lipping. The only performance I enjoyed so far was I'm Alive.

By the way the quality of the bootleg is great. Thank you for recording.

I think, as fans, we always expect too much and then get disappointed too easily when it happens. I think we should try to just enjoy the show as it is. It is a different tour now, different set up, different routines, different stage. Heck, even different instrumentalists!

 

I think maybe I watch the Au Coeur Du Stade DVD too much and that makes me expect too much from a concert.

 

Yes, I'm agree with JessCC. We are enjoy the show everywhere...South Africa,China,UK,US,France, etc........

Thanks very much for the bootleg, I certainly enjoyed watching it. There's no doubt at all that Celine isn't "into" this show as much as she has been so far on the tour. It might be something to do with the ridiculous distance from the first row to the stage. Whoever made this decision should be sacked. People are paying high prices to be close to the stage not so far away a motorway could be built in the gap!! Ridiculous!

 

There are many highlights in the show including the opening, Taking Chances, Alone, The Show Must Go On, That's Just The Woman In Me, Love Can Move Mountains and My Love. Celine is vocally spot on in the songs she is singing live. A joy to listen to her perform.

 

However, in my opinion, there are some pretty serious flaws in the set list that need to be addressed before the tour gets much older. They've been on the road for 2 months now and it's time to start ironing out things that aren't working. This includes the snorefest that is The Power of Love, Shadow Of Love (a song which should lift the crowd but comes across simply as boring), Eyes On Me (CD version or not at all please, the key is too low and the pace too slow), We Will Rock You (Ok, I get the Queen tribute but this is simply embarrassing and honestly Celine seems embarrassed singing it too - it's almost as if she knows it doesnt work) and finally the mini Barney concert - what the hell is this about, absolutely no-one in the stadium / arena is interested in this, costume change or no costume change. Show me a video any day.

 

To sum up, a very interesting concert, huge areas of which work very well and other which definitley need addressed and pretty quickly. This isn't Vegas, there is only a finite amount of time to get the problems sorted and some brave decisions need to be made.

Yeah, as for the boredom, in my opinion too - the main problem are some old songs which of course were her big hits and some people probably would be very disappointed not hearing them at the show yet it would be smart and mature decision (isn't Céline talking so much about maturity being such a great thing, by the way?!) to throw them all away! Personally I love TPOL very much but even me don't need to "hear" it when it's 80% lipped... Same goes for TLYM, MHWGO and a few others!!

 

When Barbra can not sing her biggest hit "Woman In Love" at her shows, why couldn't Céline throw away MHWGO, TPOL and maybe a few others and replace them with some fresh stuff which really makes her fun to perform it?!!...

 

Let's hope the best is yet to come!

This is absolutely true, I don't think costume change is necessary. What's more, "We Will Rock You" and "the Show Must Go On" undeniably fail to excite audiences. I know Celine wants to sing them, but ...... they don't work at all.

I still don't know if I'm gonna try and watch it before Manchester (TWO WEEKS OMG!) but I really struggle with pictures like that. Makes me feel quite ill. Any info would be much appreciated.

 

I too aggree that some of the "standards" should have been left off the setlist, especially when there are so many songs that are crying out to be brought to the stage. After five years in Vegas performing them I would have thought Celine would have so needed a change. TLYM, BYLM, LCMM TPOL come to mind straight away. The one most of the general concert goers would want to hear is MHWGO so I 100% get why that's still in. Even though we on this forum tire of it, there would be sooooooo many dissapointed people if she didn't sing that at the end.
