I wonder where did TF1 find those soldiers sing MHWGO, to prove Celine is very popular in China? I've never heard of soldiers sing foreign songs before, that's so weird.

Those soldiers reminded me about the "drunk Russian marines" version of "MHWGO" - you know, that track has been well spreed in the net back than, you've surely heard it too!

Is it a really shaky all the way through?

It's a bootleg. Just think about how hard to hold a heavy cam for 90 minutes, you'll understand why it's shaky. You can't expect use a tripod for bootleg, right?

 

Oh gosh I wasn't meaning that! I know it's a bootleg and I know it's not going to be a professional film. What I mean is, I tried to watch it and there is a lot of shaking during IDAN. I was just wondering if it calms down a bit? I get severe motion sickness so I couldn't even try to sit through a film like that.

 

I'm not maoning, it's a fantastic thing for us to get and I really do think we get amazing things form this forum and the people kind enough to take the time to share and upload. I just wanted more info so I could maybe watch it.

I really liked the beginning of I Drove All Night. After that it went downhill. It gets booring and Céline knows it. The passion that was once there is long gone. Standards which she has sung too many times, has lost their meaning, and the simple reason that they are expected to be there is not a reason strong enough.

 

The soul kicks in for the first time with My Love, and even though that performance isn't flawless it is still (or because of that) more genuine than any other performance of the concert.

 

We Will Rock You is as embarrasing as anyone can figure, not a smart move.

 

The second time a hint of genuine passion kicks in is with The Show Must Go On, her makeup may be flaking but it still stays on.

 

Barneys mini concert. Give one good reason why this ego trip was included? Costume change isn't good enough.

 

This Is A Man's World and That's Just The Woman In Me is two other performances which could lift this concert, but with too much booring souless space on the setlist the wieght becomes just too heavy.

 

Believe me or not but Love Can Move Mountains actually feels like a relief. This is one of the few performances which doesn't add to the feeling of a rushed through sound check.

 

Sad that quantity has higher priority than quality.

I don't quite understand it though, why would she try to hide what she bought? We all know she loves shopping. And I imagine most people would buy cheaper things if they could. So I don't get it.

Fake brand name goods are big business in China and steps are taken to curb the market, but counterfeiters seem to be winning, Canwest Asia correspondent

SHANGHAI - Gucci, D&G, Armani or Prada, it seems the knock-offs here are so good even the stars can't resist them.

 

A spokeswoman for the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration Office told reporters this week it was "a shame" Céline Dion was spotted shopping in the city's notorious knock-off stores.

 

The day before her big Shanghai concert this month, local media caught the diva playing tourist and checking out the fake bags and clothes in a tiny shop tucked away in a small lane off Shanxi Nan Road -- and they weren't fooled when she walked out empty-handed. A vendor nearby told them a lot of stars frequent the shop but "they are afraid of being shot by the media, so the shop owner will send the stuff to their hotels."

 

Sure enough, early that evening, at least nine packages were handed over to members of Ms. Dion's entourage, according to local paparazzi.

 

Knock-off shopping is one of the biggest tourist attractions in China, right up there with walking the Great Wall and visiting the Forbidden City.

 

In Beijing, Shanghai and almost any other city you can name, pirated copies of exclusive brand name products are available at ridiculous prices.

 

Depending on how good you are at bargaining, you can get a Gucci bag for $10, a Samsonite suitcase for $15, Polo shirts for $7 and Taylor Made golf clubs, including putter and bag, for $150.

 

Some goods are very obviously fakes. Rolex watches sold on the street for $3 are of poor build, even compared to the $20 version the merchant swears is authentic.

 

It's usually a line, of course, but some knock-off merchandise could easily be real. Many people think it might be.

 

A young European woman in the fashion business here will say she is sure a lot of knock-off clothes available around Shanghai are real. A diplomat says some of the designer merchandise may have "fallen off the truck" on its way to the export market.

 

The Chinese government is "gradually" trying to deal with the rampant violation of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) on its soil. The huge underground knock-off business puts it at odds with World Trade Organization rules and infuriates some of the world's largest and most prestigious companies.

 

At a news conference this week in Beijing, Yin Xintian, spokesman for the State Intellectual Property Office, requested patience for those calling on China to clean up its IPR record.

 

He said the country was developing so fast "it is impossible for China to establish IPR protection awareness similar to that of Western countries" overnight.

 

Moreover, he said that while China developed its laws and monitoring ability, the pirates were also perfecting their arts and often managing to stay one step ahead.

I posted the Taking Chances tour press conference in Shanghai shoot by me in Multimedia Section. Ramona and I went to the press conference on April 11, 2008 in the Grand Hyatt Shanghai. I cut the beginning of introducing various people before Celine came out. And I encoded the video from HD to DVD, due to noise caused by dark light and file size problem, resize to DVD make the video much less noisy.

 

At 5:11 you can clearly see Celine saw someone in the audience and said something, that's when she saw Ramona sat in the third row. I shoot the video right beside of Ramona.

That's funny because from 2002 to 2007, Celine was associated to CHRYSLER cars (I drove all night / A New Day...) and here, on the press conference partners, we can see CADILLAC logo! Is it only for China? Or maybe Celine does promote CADILLAC, it's most prestigious then CHRYSLER, anyway, I enjoy both of these brand cars!!!

Cause Cadillac is the main sponsor for Shanghai concert. But actually Celine didn't ride a Cadillac, just like she didn't ride a Chrysler in Vegas. She ride a Maybach in Shanghai, and a Bentley in Beijing.

As I said, my seat is not front row, it's actually the third row, and at least 20 meters away from Celine. Also I've seen many people shoot videos, photos at front row and Celine look at them directly, obviously she doesn't mind at all.
