Oh dear.... seems the label have changed the brief again... why can't they just release a concert like most performing artists. Kylies New York show is released in a few weeks and was only filmed 2 months ago.... How long does it take to release a DVD? Clearly tooo long.

 

I completely agree that the label have missed the boat with the dvd... it's been such a long time since the concert that all the people who went that were not diehard fans will have forgotten about it. The release will only be bought by fans majority and therefore not be as big a success as it could have been. If it was released relatively soon after the show it would of capitalized fantastically.

 

Could they actually arrange a piss up in a brewery? I think not.

 

Yay for the documentary though.... Michael Jacksons format worked wonderfully. But I really would like a sole concert dvd... and some concrete news... there's a fine line between waiting patiently and taking the mick.... I mean Kate Bush took 14 years to release her Aerial album... and when she did I had actually got bored of waiting and moved on... (I later bought it and was amazed) but you get my point.

 

Celine would of got alot of new fans of the TC Tour and the labouress release of the dvd may of lost her those newbies.

Sorry for the offtopic, but as far as I know, Kylie's NY show was an iTunes audio release only and there is no DVD coming out. Or did I miss something?

I can't imagine not bringing out a full concert dvd as for some info we have had,

there aren't any clips in the documentary from montreal or boston.

They shelved the first version of A New Day to release a better one, to this day all the money spent recording that show has been wasted.

Yeah I know, but it has still been wasted. The most it was used for was a few clips on TV and for the show trailer. Such a waste!! But maybe one day they will get their money back....it's one of the few times we WANT Sony and co to get more money from us. Please Sony, take my money, I will be happy to give you it!!

Shelving that first DVD was a good decision. It would have bombed. Just like the CD Live In Vegas. While us fans would LOVE to see it, the general public does not need to see it!
