Double DVD means ¨Taking Chances live concert (full) + Through the eyes of the world ( like¨Behind the scenes¨). For the english version it will be the Boston concert and for the french version it will be the Montreal concert. I wish I could tell who gave me all the informations, but I can´t...Sorry.

That is the same information that was given to us by SONY SA. They said noting about a CD, just that there will be two double DVDs.

Well this what was I tought from the beginning. TTEOTW must be from the extras of the TC tour DVD, much like the BYLM doc on AND DVD. Sorry to say this but I think they've finally realised that not many would buy the doc DVD. Céline aint that popular, for obvious reasons. Perhaps if they showed off her new sides a bit more in singles and PR people wouldn't be so fed up with her, all the masses get are MHWGO,MHWGO,MHWGO and BYLM.

 

Too bad about no cd, quite crappy if you ask me. (am I about o be banned soon or can I continue?)

 

And now we are on the reducing feast. So as much as I would like to believe that we'll have two different concerts on DVD, just as much as I wanted to believe that they would release two concerts for the AND DVD, just like they said - the blonde one, and the brown one - I can feel we are headed towards one concert this time aswell. For soon they will realise the akwardness in people noticing that some songs sounding EXACTLY the same on the two different concerts, and that would be too uncomfortable for them, so they solve this by releasing just one concert on DVD.

exactly what I was thinking fred! I hope they put all the songs that are not similar together. so english and french songs! that way we have the english and the french concerts as one!

Well to be honest, my feeling says only one concert. And the one they will cut off is from the English leg. Last time we got a full concert DVD it was an English one. Now if they cut one, it's the English one. Besides the set list were a bit better for the Montreal concert than the Boston one. So people start studying French so we'll understand what she says in between songs, for as usual they'll asume that since Céline understand French flewently, all her fans does so aswell.

1. Obviously their new plan is:

 

-Celine Through The Eyes Of The World & Live in Boston

-Celine Autour du Monde & Live a Montreal

 

The first one would be released everywhere and the second one would be released in France & Canada.

 

 

2. That is't going to happen, because we know that they recorded Celine singing these songs live under the playback. She probably sang these songs live in Boston AND Montreal, so the live versions would be different on both DVD releases.

It's a shame we're not getting a CD, but I think they're new plan is much better overall, as now it's 2 releases instead of 4, which makes Blu-ray more likely!

If she bothered re-recording little bits like the last chorus of TC, or even the high note of ABM, then yes, I would say she would have sang TPOL live as well.

It could be may....but is not 100%. So we have to wait for the promotion of ¨Through the eyes of the world¨.More things I can´t say ...sorry. Is not permitted.

I guess it's a common Sony release of Celine. Two language version - of course. Without any live CD. The same. You know I've never liked these live CD-s with the selection of the most popular songs. If you want to listen the songs on your mp3 or phone you can transform it. Nothing is impossible.

Exactly. If we did get a live CD we'd probably complain with the tracklisting anyway. But seeing as the live CDs are just the audio from the DVD, we can rip it ourselves and have all the tracks on our ipods!

If it is so, then it is settled. Damn they're smart, didn't think they'd planned that in. If those tracks aren't in the Montreal setlist we'll most likely get two concerts.

Well I would say not for a while, fall at earliest. They ought to be Taking Cash for the doc at cinemas first. Probably late fall or right before the Christmas season.

Agreed. But it would be nice to have a live cd that showcase this tour and Céline during this era. And by that not focusing on the old songs. However some old songs haven't been on live cds already and diserve to be (such as ABMS).

Who knows if she would have new vocals for the playback songs for both concert DVDs. She would only need to do it for one concert, not all four, to ensure there is a difference. And like someone said, some of the playback songs weren't in both.

 

I just checked and this is how many times the songs were performed during the DVD tapings.

 

All By Myself - 4/4

Alone - 4/4

Eyes On Me - 4/4

I Drove All Night - 4/4

It's All Coming Back To Me Now - 2/4

My Heart Will Go On - 4/4

The Power Of Love - 4/4

Taking Chances - 4/4

To Love You More - 2/4

 

There were a handful of French shows where Alone and TPOL were not present, but both were for all four shows.

 

So 7/9 songs were performed for each taping. We already know there are new vocals for MHWGO, ABM, and TC. Really, she could spread all 7 of these out over 4 shows and do it live just one time, and it wouldn't be much of a strain at all. And since the Vegas Medley was only in the English shows she probably wouldn't have to worry about IACBTMN and TLYM.

Why all the complaining? and negativity? I am absolutely thrilled beyond belive that there IS going to be a release of TCWT dvd!!! This has made my day!!! I was so worried there wasn't goin to be a release at all! So thankful! May or whenever... I am just thrilled to death that it will be released!! Quit with the negativity we are all fans of Celine and we should be happy not critical!! Thanks for the info Italia!! =)

She did sing TPOL on all the French shows excepted the Stade de Genève concert on July 9th & the Centre Bell Montreal concert on August 16th.

Of course I would like to have both concerts, that would be the best.

 

I was reacting on someone else here who said;

Plan can always change, we have seen that before with the A New Day concert dvd.

 

So if in case they would decide to choose one concert instead, and skip either the english or french concert,

I would rather have a mixed concert ( with the best similar songs and french/english) than only one french or one english one.

But first wait and see! You can predict everything, but you don't know what's ahead!

I think we all get our share with this great movie that's coming, and 2 dvd's as promised ( french and english).

Hi everyone...I´m back again because I want to clarify something. I´ve said yesterday that will be 2 double DVDs...one with the Montreal concert and one with the Boston concert. The one with the Montreal concert will be released in french-speaking countries and the other one all over the world. So, you know very well the setlists for the two concerts and the songs like ¨The power of love¨ or ¨All by myself¨ will be present on both DVDs...and if someone who loves Celine wants to buy both, there´s no problem, but you have to think that the french dvd is not for the american or english market. And the french fans have the right to have the concert like it was...

Until today the release date remains in may but it could be earlier too ( the dvds are ready), but have to wait for the promotion of ¨Through the eyes...¨. After the Sony team will end the promotions, the release date will be announce. Have a nice day....
