I believe her contract is with Columbia / Sony

 

but i wish we could get this Feburary date confimed

 

 

Productions J gave the film to René 1 month and a half ago and René showed it to Sony and they loved it, so Sony could have choosen to realease it for christmas but instead they are waiting for spring.

 

But I'm a bit confused right now because Access Hollywood show on their website that it will be out in February 2010.

 

 

So it will be out in Spring. That is also confusing, cause it says on Access Hollywood that it will be out in February. That is a little strange. :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

 

Now I'm so much confused. Are you talking about the DVD or the film project here now?? :xmas_huh:

Its now Confirmed for FEB the movie will be in theatres the DVD probably will matter on the sucess of the film, the better the movie does the longer we will have to wait

got an email from sony, to register for updates on ticket sales!

And yep february is the time... hopefully worldwide... ;-)

 

but it's 'official' now dont you think!? it's time for some updates!!!!! :P

i dont think there is going to be a concert DVD to be honest.. this movie pretty much is about the tour.. so well at least we're getting something.. maybe they will release Boston or Montreal as an extra when it comes out on DVD.. would make sense

I really like the idea of this movie, but not if it means that we won't get a whole concert :xmas_sad:

What I don't get is why they would throw the Boston and Montreal concert away, when it's already recorded. Why don't make money of it? :xmas_huh:

The concert is just the bonus feature so, obviously, it won't be the subject of the theatrical run.

Folks, somehow some way there will be a release of this tour on DVD. Maybe not any time soon, but we will see one. How could they not when they've filmed both those shows and spent so much money?

 

Madonna didn't release official concert DVDs when she released her 2 documentaries, but Celine and Madonna are from different record companies. And Celine's DVDs sell so damn well.

They shelved the first version of A New Day to release a better one, to this day all the money spent recording that show has been wasted. Maybe they've shelved the first concept of the tour (one whole show) and now plan to release it as a documentary instead.

 

It's also possible that the documentary could be re-edited so that it runs without cutting to clips of Celine performing (would be less need to have them interrupting the documenatry if we already have a full show on another disc, the people in the cinema won't have that option) and then those songs could just be regular bonuses. Plus, in the preview trailer the DVD seems to have it's own logo and TTEOTW seems to have it's own too - as if they are seperate things...though that might not mean a thing. lol I suppose we just have to hope for the best!

For God's sake! These past weeks have been really thrilling. When they say "in theaters everywhere", I hope this "everywhere" means worldwide, not only Canada, the States and France. I'd love to go to the cinema to see a Celine's movie and lots of my friends would too. Pleaseeeeeeeee Spain didn't have the chance to see her live, please let us see her in theaters at least!

they talked about the concert DVD, but so the documentary, I find it strange because they were slow to launch the DVD of the tour, now launch the DVD documentary as a way to fill the space that had to dmoro to launch the DVD of the concert. and then this is a new way to show the world the popularity of Celine and give yourself some will do much success in theaters

This is getting really confusing now, so the Celine Documentary is coming out in February. What about the D.V.D., Yeah were Is Darren.

although a celine-movie sounds great... I am still thinking that this is what we get, no full concert... maybe I am too pessimistic

Otherwise they could have released the whole concert in cinema too. But instead it is more about how Celine enjoyed the tour, what countries she visited and how she , rene, her mum and her son saw the world. Who knows how many full concertsongs are in this documentary? Maybe we get them all, but shortened. But we can still hope we get both the documentary and the fullconcert on dvd.

Just as said before here, they have thrown away a complete concertrecording, so they can do that again, we don't know..

Notons également le travail du réalisateur Jean Lamoureux, qui a capté quatre shows avec au moins 15 caméras pour ce documentaire qui dure 1 h 52. Il sera sous-titré en anglais, car Céline et René parlent français entre eux. D'autres villes dans le monde pourront aussi y avoir accès. Des grandes premières auront lieu dans trois grandes villes, dont Montréal et Los Angeles.
