Der_Griffon Posted December 5, 2009 at 10:04 AM Posted December 5, 2009 at 10:04 AM OK then... There is a new topic about that footage, so now you can whine and bore here...I don't now why some responsible persons let you whine all over 80sites on this topic. No official news, just whining and speculations...Finally you can use it as you want :-) I'll put an official e-mail that I received from CelineDion.com about that footage in the right topic, so if you're interested... go there- but do not whine there ;-) This is a discussion topic and we have the right of free speech! We can whine all we want! Jeez!! http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj229/Der_Griffon/SIGNATURE-1-1-1.jpg March 15th and 16th 2011, Las VegasThank you Celine and thank you friends! I truly had the time of my life!
browseceline Posted December 5, 2009 at 10:19 AM Posted December 5, 2009 at 10:19 AM (edited) well.. just bought myself the new Tina Turner dvd. She performed this year in Holland. And it did not take them long to release the concert already! And the quality is very very good. What I want to point out is - we have been waiting for soooo long for the 2dvdpack and still all we know is the movie.Although I am really getting excited about what we are going to see I also know that it even takes longer nowbefore releasing that on dvd. So I think we have the right to discuss that here and express our feeling about that! And that does not make us less fan than others here! Belle Céline Posted December 5, 2009 at 05:12 PM Posted December 5, 2009 at 05:12 PM Found this on the movie site, please note the bold text it confirms it will be released everywhere but for a limited time only. About The ShowCELINE DION ENTERTAINS THE WORLD INTHE HOT TICKET'S PRESENTATION OF"CELINE: THROUGH THE EYES OF THE WORLD" CULVER CITY, Calif., December 3, 2009 – Celine Dion, the international superstar and best-selling female artist of all time, has toured around the world and back again, and now, Sony Pictures Releasing’s special programming division, The Hot Ticket, will let audiences follow her everywhere. For a limited engagement beginning early next year in wide release, Celine: Through the Eyes of the World will bring Celine Dion’s 2008-2009 Taking Chances World Tour to theaters. This special motion picture event gives Dion fans who attended the extremely popular tour – which placed Dion second only to Madonna in ticket sales in 2008 – another chance to experience the magical event, this time from a vantage point unparalleled by any ticket. Join Celine as she travels to five continents and 25 countries, putting on show-stopping performances of some of her biggest hits. However, this world tour is different as Celine is traveling with her husband, her 8-year-old son, her mother, and her extended family. Intercutting concert performances with behind the scenes footage, audiences will get the chance to really know Celine, her family, and her co-performers as well as those fans that she meets and performs for around the world. Inspirational, moving, honest and surprisingly funny, Celine: Through the Eyes of the World captures Dion’s deft balance between the demands of an elaborate and extensive year-long worldwide tour and Dion’s top priority – caring for and enjoying time with her family. Commenting on the announcement, Rory Bruer, president of Worldwide Distribution for Sony Pictures Releasing, said, “Celine Dion is a beloved performer all around the world and early next year, The Hot Ticket will offer fans a front row seat as she performs on stage her most recognized hits. Through this special film, audiences will also see Celine as they have never seen before as she travels and interacts with her family and creative collaborators while touring extraordinary and exotic locations around the globe. We believe Celine: Through the Eyes of the World offers a unique perspective on Celine, her life, and her inspiring dedication to creating a stage experience like no other.” Celine added, "This was an amazing world tour, but there's a lot more than just concert footage on this film. I let the cameras follow me everywhere. There are a lot of ups and downs, and it's very personal...and it's definitely the most intimate journey that I've ever shared with my fans." Having sold more than 200 million albums around the world, Celine Dion is one of the most immediately recognized, widely respected and successful performers in pop music history. During her spectacular career Celine has been honored with over 1000 awards. She is a 5 time Grammy Award winner, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Album for Falling Into You (1996); and Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "My Heart Will Go On" (1998). Her recordings have won two Academy Awards®: Best Original Song in 1992 for the title song of Beauty and the Beast (with Peabo Bryson), and Best Original Song in 1998 for "My Heart Will Go On" (From Titanic). She has earned 7 American Music Awards, 20 Juno Awards (Canada) and an astonishing 40 Felix Awards (Quebec). In 2004, Celine received the Diamond award at the World Music Awards recognizing her status as the best-selling female artist of all time. In 2007 she was honored with the Legend Award at World Music Awards in recognition of her global success and outstanding contribution to the music industry. On her Taking Chances World Tour, which took place between February 2008 and February 2009, Dion played concerts in South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, China, South Korea, Australia, Malaysia, the UK, Belgium, France, Ireland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Italy, Monaco, Canada, Mexico, and 41 cities in the United States. The 5-continent, 25-country, 93-city tour – Dion’s first in nine years – was wildly successful, selling over three million tickets. Stephane Laporte, director of the film, added, “After touring the world with Celine, I can say confidently that there is no performer anywhere like her. She is a consummate entertainer – not only was she committed to giving the fans who came to the shows the best performances she could, but she was just as committed to this film, to make it entertaining and give some insight into what it's like to be on the road for a year with one's family. This is Celine’s world and it's a wonderful experience to live in it and be a part of it.” “There’s nothing I love more than the romance of a night in the theater.”http://i39.tinypic.com/ws0due.png
Claudette Posted December 5, 2009 at 05:22 PM Posted December 5, 2009 at 05:22 PM It doesn't say ''everywhere'' or ''world wide''... just ''wide'', which probably means Canada and USA. I hope I'm wrong though! I'm sure we'll get a trailer soon, as there is already a trailer for the Kenny one... http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/ClaudetteRobinson/esme.jpg

Well the picture says everywhere, I assume it means worldwide. I hope its released everywhere in the USA, I really want to see it but I also hope everywhere worldwide gets it so other than just USA fans and Canadian fans can see it as well. Claudette Posted December 5, 2009 at 08:41 PM Posted December 5, 2009 at 08:41 PM (edited) Me too... I'm gonna fly all the way to America to go to the movies... I didn't realize you were from Nashville. Totally off topic, but that pics in the tourbook where Celine's doctor is examining her are from the Nashville show... they are my favourites... So funny! It is great to see that she even has a sense of humour when she is not feeling well! mceyedol Posted December 7, 2009 at 06:39 PM Posted December 7, 2009 at 06:39 PM Oh dear.... seems the label have changed the brief again... why can't they just release a concert like most performing artists. Kylies New York show is released in a few weeks and was only filmed 2 months ago.... How long does it take to release a DVD? Clearly tooo long. I completely agree that the label have missed the boat with the dvd... it's been such a long time since the concert that all the people who went that were not diehard fans will have forgotten about it. The release will only be bought by fans majority and therefore not be as big a success as it could have been. If it was released relatively soon after the show it would of capitalized fantastically. Could they actually arrange a piss up in a brewery? I think not. Yay for the documentary though.... Michael Jacksons format worked wonderfully. But I really would like a sole concert dvd... and some concrete news... there's a fine line between waiting patiently and taking the mick.... I mean Kate Bush took 14 years to release her Aerial album... and when she did I had actually got bored of waiting and moved on... (I later bought it and was amazed) but you get my point. Celine would of got alot of new fans of the TC Tour and the labouress release of the dvd may of lost her those newbies. xx http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/8376/celinedionbannerub5.jpgTAKING CHANCES TOUR* 06/05/08 - o2 Arena: Block D1, Row P, Seat 11

Well even if Productions J was the producer, Sony may have its part here, right?Someone could clear up these things for me please? I don't even know if Céline still has a contract with Sony... manolo19 Posted December 9, 2009 at 01:28 AM Posted December 9, 2009 at 01:28 AM Productions J gave the film to René 1 month and a half ago and René showed it to Sony and they loved it, so Sony could have choosen to realease it for christmas but instead they are waiting for spring. But I'm a bit confused right now because Access Hollywood show on their website that it will be out in February 2010.
I Love You Posted December 9, 2009 at 01:39 AM Posted December 9, 2009 at 01:39 AM So it will be out in Spring. That is also confusing, cause it says on Access Hollywood that it will be out in February. That is a little strange. :hmm:
