Thats right Jeje...

 

That was the original plan yes...

 

But now that its not gonna happen, I can also confirm that.... this dvd was to be released in europe on the 16th November this year, and in the U.S/Canada on the 17th, as I previously stated ( the middle of November ).

 

But the Xmas cd, as I said recently, was put on hold.

 

But as we've seen over the years, and recently.... anything can happen/change! lol.

Maybe it´s a good thing that they are not releasing the DVD this year.

Céline is on a vacation and at least now we have stuff to look forward to.

Imagine if we got the Tour book, the Tour DVD all in one year and nothing next year.

Why on earth would you do that? A few mails wouldn't probably do any good nor will it get a decent answer. Multiple mails would be considered as spam.

 

When the time is ripe I'm pretty sure that a formal annoucement will be made or that the DVD will be scheduled for release to the public.

 

 

We'll just have to wait a bit, for God's sake, it's not like it's the end of the world... It's just a DVD from a fantastic world tour... Have a little patience, making yourself mad about it won't do you any good, it's bad for your health

 

Just relax a bit and when the time is ripe the DVD will be released... No one knows which motivation is behind the postponed DVD, I'm pretty sure it will be a valid reason, before anyone makes a decission like this you can bet on it's been thinked over and over again.

 

I know it's hard, but at least there is some great footage availabe from the concert to ease the waiting (As I remember there is a full concert in near HD quality for download)

MJ has nothing to do with it... The Céline DVD is being produced with different companies (Productions J & CDA Productions) not releated to any of Michael's stuff...

 

Sony is "only" related in this as the license holder and the promotion to the discs

Why not asking? I dont think that we will get a formal annoucement.... They let us wait and in 2010 we get the DVD. But i want to know why, to shut down all the rumors.

 

For sure, I can live with it, we have Gerards book and even if there would be no book, we have another life,...

wheter it will be released or not, i hope the excuse is: we had toooo many hours of film, so we add 6 more hours on a few disc! so we can deliver an 10 disc package in spring 2010

Still think it's extremely stupid not to release this DVD this year. It was one thing to do it with AND, but that was completely different. People want to relive the concerts, they will forget/moved on the longer it's put on hold. November is the perfect time to release it. And I definately believe the DVD is already completed, so this decision doesn't make any sense. To postpone the X-mas CD (perhaps to next year), is one thing, but to postpone both??

Come on! Why do they have to push it back! Ugh I so wanted this now!! and do we even know that the tour book of photo's is going to be released in the US? Dissapointing news for sure, but that's the way it is (as someone once said) and we'll just have to get on with it and hope that it does get released early next year. (It would make a great Valentine's present Sony! hint, hint) I was really looking forward to a possible get-together in London too.

There'll be no excuse now for not getting the book, and at least we'll have Madonna's DVD to keep us entertained till Celine's comes out! ()

I'm not a fan of Madonna so no the dvd wouldn't keep me entertained lol Atleast I will have the Sur Les Plaines dvd next month, my friend has said she'll get it for me for my bday, not that I'll understand a word thats said on it because I don't speak a word of french and I know very few simple words of french. Oh well atleast its a dvd I suppose. oh and if Madonna's dvd comes out BEFORE Celine's I am going to be even more mad because her tour is still going on and Celine's ended months and months ago.

What an absolute farce. Sony are ALWAYS so slow and just not with it when it comes to releasing new Celine items. This screams out memories of the "All The Way" DVD. Remember how many times that was delayed?? Ridiculous.

 

So we wont get the DVD til 2010. Great. I bet we'll get 14 different variations of the "versatile water bottle" between now and then though eh Sony???!!

I want Sur Les Plaines reguardless of what language I speak, I've saw a few videos of behind the scene's stuff and after the show and it looks really cute especially RC singing in the car. I can't wait to get this dvd! I'm glad they atleast sell it on the US Amazon.com because it would probably cost to much to get it from the UK site. Especially since I'm already asking my friend to pay 35 bucks for it, plus shipping.

The photobook will surely be released all over europe, maybe just some weeks later than the French release....

Céline Dion IS a FRANCOPHONE artist, therefore her stuff appears first in FRANCOPHONE countries...

Yeah that is a positive way of looking at it.

 

Im not going to lie and say that I am ok with this new developement but I am not going to let myself get upset over it either. It would have been a real highlight for me in November and I would have liked the DVD so that my Mom and I could enjoy it for her birthday which falls in November as we are both huge Celine fans but i guess there isnt much we can do. We can only hope that they make up the delay to us in bonus features and other stuff that they perhaps will include on the DVD

It kind of makes sense for them to push the release of the DVD closer to a possible premiere in Vegas (the idea for that is still in the air right?). The dvd could cause a lot of commotion around Céline, and her new show would be promoted at the same time..

 

Anyhow, let's all just wait - we all know anticipating the new DVD is a much better feeling than having it in your hands and knowing nothing new is coming out anytime soon.

well i am still disappointed but that doesn't affect my enthusiasm for this dvd. I will still be anxiously waiting for it to come out whenever that may be. Darren once again thanks for doing a great job, a job that is informing us of all of celine's latest, be it good news or bad news, so don't pay much attention to the couple of members who lashed out at you before.

 

i can only hope that postponing the release would mean us getting more behind the scenes and extras as a "thank you fans for being so patient with us"

but knowing Sony that will probably not happen...
