i know that is what i am asking for christmas.

we just need a release date.

I completely agree, Kathy! I am on pins and needles waiting for the date to be announced. I've been watching the bootlegs for so long. I'm ready to see a really good filmed version of it with all different angles and the like. It was a great tour.

I hope there will be one soon, as there needs to be one (and only one) place to discuss the whole thing. Alot of people become upset when I (among others) hijack the DVD thread/Rene announce Vegas thread/Youtube Thread/Random Topic thread and turn it into a playback discussion. It's not fair to those people who have to read the off topic stuff, but it isn't fair to the people who DO want to discuss it and have nowhere too. Disallowing the discussion of it would be the wrong route to take because it wouldn't be fair that we are not allowed to discuss something that is undeniably a part (a rather big part) of the show.

Oh, and as for the Taking Chances performance....I kinda like the say-ay-ay-ay too, but I'm sure they'll choose the other way just because it sounds more vocally perfect. :whistling:

I hope the performance of Taking Chances is taken from the first night. I think this was the first time she sang "what do you say-ay-ay-ay-ay-ay-ay" instead of "what do you saaaaaaaa-aaaaaaaaaaay". Do you know what I mean? It livened the song up for me and I much prefered it, even such a small change.

I heard once though that for the DVD they can use audio from different performances? Someone was saying that the I Surrender Vegas changed from one night to another on the audio or video or something like that?? Something with the way her hand was raised in one second, but not in the other?

I definitely think that they use footage from different nights and edit them to make one performance. If you watch the performance of ''I Surrender'' closely you'll see that there are places where the color of her lipstick does not match. At first I thought that it was how the light fell on her face or something but later I started to realize that it was from different nights.

P.S What did she do wrong on the second night in that performance of Taking Chances? I obviously missed it...

LOL! I did not even notice it the first time. I only noticed it now because I was specifically listening for it.

I don't think the Phoenix one was on purpose. She sounds kind of shaky in that performance. I mean it is understandable. But I think that came out differently by accident...

I am planning on flying back up from Florida to Massachusetts in December to watch the DVD with the person I went to the concert with. We are going to have a whole Celine day! Listen to her music, watch her previous DVDs and make French food! Make scrapbooks and keep a log of how many times we see ourselves on the DVD (if any). Ya, we are sort of obsessed.

but im not sure...

2010 wouldn't make any sense. It'd be better to do Oct/Nov 2009 to cash in on Holiday sales. 2010 is a disadvantage in every way possible.

If the Phoenix Concert does not show what kind of artist Celine is, I don't know what ever will. Celine was obviously very ill that evening and continued the show. We hear her struggle during Taking Chances and hear her take the easy way out of the note. If ever there was a time to you use playback, that would have been the perfect opportunity (btw, I am not saying playback isn't used, just saying that Celine very well could have used it there). She is simply amazing.

I don't think IACBTM was playback during the LTAL tour anyway, I have lots of versions to compare and I would have picked up on it surely.

And yes, BACK ON TOPIC!

In the LTAL video, does she sing the line "This is night's when the wind was so close"??? ----- Definitely sounds like "close" at the end of the line and not "cold" as it should be....

Madonna's Sticky & Sweet DVD will be released this November as well which is why I think Taking Chances DVD will be pushed till 2010. Maybe it will be released on the 1 year anniverssary of the ending of the tour.
