Julian Posted February 19, 2010 at 12:35 PM Posted February 19, 2010 at 12:35 PM I think Timsters theory is for sure not true. It wouldnt make sense. She re-recordet the songs or they changed the live playback notes in the studio
Claudette Posted February 19, 2010 at 01:10 PM Posted February 19, 2010 at 01:10 PM According to SONY SA the DVD will be released on the 26th of April in the USA and only on the 3rd of May in SA (don't they think that it is bad enough that we can't see the frigging movie, nooooo we have to wait another week for the DVD too). The guy said something about the documentary being released seperately from the concert. It sounds like they are releasing the documentary on DVD and Blue-ray, and the concert DVD ''Live in Boston'' together with a CD. I'm not sure if the concert will be in Blue-ray too... He said it is better to get it on Blue-ray, as it was shot in HD. Don't know if he meant the documentary though. http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/ClaudetteRobinson/esme.jpg
stevo Posted February 19, 2010 at 01:43 PM Posted February 19, 2010 at 01:43 PM The concert is bound to be in BluRay- AND was one of the biggest selling BluRays so they'd be mad not to. And every new release is done in dvd and BluRay anyhow
Timster Posted February 19, 2010 at 02:00 PM Posted February 19, 2010 at 02:00 PM I think Timsters theory is for sure not true. It wouldnt make sense. She re-recordet the songs or they changed the live playback notes in the studio OK, she may have re-recorded the songs in studio, but there's no way they changed the playback notes like you suggested. When you see the movie you'll realise some parts are completely different - you can tell the vocals are more recent. Anyway, of course it makes sense to do them live. It means that all her vocals will sound the same as everything can be taken straight from her microphone during the concert like the rest of the songs, and if she struggles to hit the notes it doesn't matter, because the audience are listening to the playback, so no one would know. Haven't you considered that TPOL would sound much better if it was recorded live in the concert because after the first live verse there would be absolutely no difference in the way she sounds when she starts the chorus. Also, if the ABM note was studio recorded, don't you think it would sound a lot more similar to the playback? I think the new video on YouTube is definately live, you can tell by the rawness of her vocals towards the end. If she was in the studio she could have as many takes as she wanted. Either way, it's great that they've done this!
Alex_Incognito Posted February 19, 2010 at 02:33 PM Posted February 19, 2010 at 02:33 PM The concept of redoing vocals for live albums and shows has been around for years, it's certainly nothing new. I remember Barbra Streisand re-recorded some vocals for her 1986 "One Voice" TV special for it's VHS and LP release. Fans were shocked with this and there were rumours swirling that Barbra had lost her voice. This, of course, wasn't true. She just wanted perfection. This DVD has a lot to compete with. Madonna's new CD and DVD and Barbra Streisand's forthcoming DVD. Let's release it now, Sony! "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990
Stuart2007 Posted February 19, 2010 at 03:06 PM Posted February 19, 2010 at 03:06 PM They can mix up the vocals and performances as much as they like as long as we get Think Twice live. Either on the DVD of the film or as a bonus track on the CD, I really don't care which. Its long overdue to have a live version of this song in some form, a few blurry and noisy fan-made youtube vids just isn't enough.

And it would also be refreching to have it in the American leg. Are they not aware of that TT is greatly appreciated and not (as much of her other hits) overplayed and overpreformed? The Taking Cash tour was truly awkward in many topics, the absence of tracks such as TT,TTWII,ANDHC and A Cause being one, the absence of new material being a second, the promised new sound and arrangements on old hits were left out only to rearrange the few new tracks included in the set list being a third. TT must be as bonus on the DVD. Along with I've Got The Music In Me. It would be THE best thing. But I have a feel they won't take this into consideration at all.... /fred Edited February 19, 2010 at 06:38 PM by fred Peace and love to all.

Yes On Ne Change Pas was only performed again during Sur le Plaines... the reason why that song and Tout l'or des hommes was cut, was, I think, because the show had too many songs in it and was a bit too long.... BUT I still find it a death sin that they kept TPOL in french shows and ommited Tout l'or des hommes They played TPOL at the first Montreal show and then dropped it for the second. Same for Shadow of Love... but they didn't replace them with anything. I'm like put another French song in there, like songs from D'elles or 1f4t Instagram: @delphis78
Koolan Posted February 20, 2010 at 05:11 AM Posted February 20, 2010 at 05:11 AM got this from Wikipedia;don't know how official this is; DVD release Sony Pictures Entertainment reportedly plans to release a DVD and Blu-ray version on April 26,2010, while corporate sibling Sony Music Entertainment is planning a separate CD and DVD release of the actual concert, which was recorded in Boston in mid-August 2008. A French concert, recorded in Montreal two weeks later, is also due to be released at the same time.[15][16][17] The DVD version of Celine: Through the Eyes of the World will last 3 hours.[3][18] The documentary is scheduled to be included as a bonus feature in the upcoming tour DVD. So... Through the eyes of the world will be released on Blu Ray But the concerts arent Damn... I hate watching DVD's...It makes no sense to have a DVD and a Blu-ray in one release. mirage Posted February 20, 2010 at 08:23 AM Posted February 20, 2010 at 08:23 AM I loved On Ne Change Pas, Tout L'or Des Hommes on the show :D Oh yes i so hoped for A Cause!!! But sony would never bother to release those songs as bonus. But who knows what we will see in the 3 hour docu ;-)i never had believed we get I've Got The Music in good quality!! ;-)

fred Posted February 20, 2010 at 12:33 PM Posted February 20, 2010 at 12:33 PM there is also another song I want in GOOD quality.... the main reason why the 'soul' medley was created.... That's just the woman in me OMG! I can't believe I forgot that track! That's like THE song of the tour. Yet they cut that one out too. Now my wishlist goes as follows:I've Got The Music In MeThink TwiceThat's Just The Woman In Me If they'd put only these tracks alone one one DVD it would still be worth buying, I would pay full DVD price just for those three tracks even if it contained nothing else. The rest of the tracklist is just bla, except a FEW, but mixed out with the others and the lack of the ones mentioned above it's like a cake without chocolate. If the "A New Day..." DVD taught us anything guys it's not to expect these little performed or excluded from certain shows songs!!!I know and it's so sad, coz that's the only extra material I am interested in, really.
