At the recording, they did Eyes on Me twice. It seems that they edited the song, just as they edited the entire recording prior to airing it in CBS. [iACBTMN, BYLM, TLYM, MHWGO, etc, were not included in the final show]. Since she sang it twice, they edited the final show to include video of both versions, which is easy, considering she lip-synced both times.

 

With Alone, when she performed it during our taping, she sang the shortened version that she had been using in the previous performances. The first verse what cut up and there was only one "big" alone sung at the end. That's the version that ended up on the special. For the music video, they used the full album version of the song, and the parts that were originally cut out were magically added. She must have re-done the track in it's entirety after we left or something, and it was added in. You can tell something was done, because the parts that were added, are only close-ups of her singing, and the camera doesn't show the audience during those added in parts. I do not remember her signing Alone more than once, though she did have to go back and re-do it's introduction. The first time she introduced the song, it was really quick, like she was racing through what she had rehearsed and then forgot a few lines. The producers made her re-introduce the song after she finished singing it.

 

Do I make any sense? LOL

 

actually i don't think you're right b/c if you watch the official music video. the violin solo part (that's in the full version), you can see the audience, and if that was added in after the audience left, then how could they be there?

 

 

That's part of the shortened version. I was there during the recording. She sang the shortened version with us, complete with her now-signature "air-violin".

 

The video version was taken from the special, plus the longer version she recorded without us there, to allow for the additional camera shots of her sining the album version.

The medley of hits and MHWGO was not part of the final special that was aired on TV, so it shouldn't be included in any re-airings.

 

If you want to see what they sound like, watch the A New Day... DVD or youtube the 'An Audience With..." from UK TV. LOL

I v+ this the other day, and have just finished watching.

 

I must say though, i was very dissapointed. It was just like "An Audience With...", except with playback versions instead of the album versions.

 

And i missed MHWGO, which i know most of you didn't, but it will always be one of my favourites.

 

by far the best special is the ANDHC... 100% live!!!

one of my friends gave me the CBS special and he downloaded from here,in Alone that was downloaded from here the part she sang "you don't know how long I have wanted to touch your lips and hold you tight is omitted," but in the video I saw in MBC tv they didn't omit that parts.

I want to know if that part was omited by mods or it was not there completely

Just been flicking up through the channels and on VH1 at 9.00pm Celines 'Thats just the woman in me' is on!!!
