"Eyes On Me" to be second single in UK!

Nothing ages you, Celine Dion has shrewdly recognised, like a stint in Vegas. To that end, she's filled Taking Chances, the album that's supposed to mark her return to chart glory after a half-decade residence at Caesar's Palace, with contributions from a bevy of contemporary hitmakers: Linda Perry (Pink, Christina Aguilera), Ne-Yo (Rihanna, Beyoncé) and Terius 'The Dream' Nash, (Rihanna's 'Umbrella') have all dirtied their hands in a bid to renew Dion's musical relevance.

'Eyes On Me', the album's second single, finds Dion taking an ill-advised swerve towards Shakira territory in pursuit of that all-important comeback smash. As ever, the Canadian belter is on ripe old form, tearing into the hackneyed lyrics with real spirit. Sadly, with its souped-up Middle Eastern rhythms and tale of a teasing minx goading her boyfriend ("Temptation is all around... you better keep your eyes on me"), it feels at least a decade too young for this 39-year-old working mum.

I agree but the postive thing is its a review and people often use digitalspy so all news is good...especially because people will know she has a single out

Oh yeah one more thing I want to add.... why in the hell is Delta Goodrem's name not mentioned anywhere?? And why isn't this a single in Australia??? If you do it, do it right! Delta's big in the UK and Australia right?? Tell people it was co-written by Delta, and the backing vocals are hers.... who knows, people might give the songs a chance and like it!!! :whistling:

The backing vocals and the lack of a basy beat, are the weaknesses of this track.

Awww!! I really wanted "Fade Away" to be the singl. Oh well, at least "Eyes on Me" is still a FANTASTIC song.

We all gotta buy this song even though we have the album as it will help her a lot to have a top 10 hit and also it will show sony that a third single and more promotion is a good idea!!!. Please everyone on here get a copy monday a few thousands sales and top 10 def.

Why for? Why should I support a single that

a ) I have already on the album
b ) has nothing special to offer besides a crappy remix
c ) doesn't even get a video

No! I don't want to support a song that I don't like only because it is a song from my favourite artist. This would lead to more wrong decisions regarding single choices by Sony and choosing awful songs by Celine's camp! Therefore I prefer not to support this to show them that the choice they have made is wrong and that they choose a better song from the album to introduce to the cd buying public that has more potential.

To be a fan doesn't mean to agree with everything and to buy effortless releases!

human air raid siren celine dion is seeking to connect with her inner shakira.. her lastest single features latino funk rhythms.

but while you can take a horse to water. you can't make them sound as if they've just fetched up from a south american barrio.

metro is a free news paper in the morning time

Mine arrived this morning! The photo on the cover is blurry and pixelated and looks a bit home-made (can't really tell on the pics but it does), I wonder why when the original pic we have is so HQ? Oh well, it's great to have a Celine single in my hands again.

I Love The Pic They Chose For The Cover!! :clap:

& i suppose its gone blurry because the original HQ photo was smaller

Now that's what I call a cheap #ss job. You can totally see where they photoshopped her chin and jaw-line. Is this appropriate for a singer of Celine's stature?

Even I perferred her B-side "Take Me Home" to the 1st single "In This Life" :lol:

I wonder how the other B-sides and rejects would be :hmm:

But surely, this album is clearly my least fav

I'd like to know if Sony/Celine would change their mind and shoot a video for thi song.... and please, some "proper" remixes than the lame one that we heard :sick:
