They may make a video at a later date.

 

She will be able to make videos after Christmas - she will be preparing the tour. Plus as she will be on tour they can use locations around the world to film upcoming videos which wont take her out the schedule too much.

 

She has probably made an agreement to promote, promote, promote in the last few months so that she can have Christmas off. She worked VERY hard and if she doesn't want to make a video now then why should she? She needs a good break. TC was expected to have success right through the Christmas season and it just didn't happen Celine did all she could but radios just obviously were not that keen to support. I also think fans probably were a bit sceptical of the new sound. Its nothing like ANDHC which people bought cos they loved it and it was typical Celine. Celine has a lot of "casual" fans who will buy something if they like it and not if they dont and when an album is widely reported to be a new sound, people will want to hear a few songs before buying it. I know many people who still wait until they have heard 3 songs before buying an album. I just think they should stick with the sound and keep going with the singles eventually the album will take off about the 3rd single if they play their cards right with the singles..

 

I still think EOM was a mistake cos it does not go with the general theme of the album its not remotely edgy and anyone could sing it and i said before it should be kept for next summer. People who don't like her screechy voice will hate this song. Fade Away would have been best or Alone (in the uK) Anyway as its already at radios in the UK we can only hope it will do well enough on airplay now and they will stick a video out middle of January.

Her name is "Despina Vandi" she's VERY successful in Greece in these are 2 tracks from her new album, the ones closest to "Eyes on me" but not close enough imo. (alexi ta vlepeis? :P )

I must admit I'm not too keen either!

Um Sarah Kennedy actually said that she "wasn't sure about it yet" which in my opinion does not mean she doesn't like it. Anyway, it's totally unimportant if the radio DJ's like the song or not, the fact is the song is getting valuable airplay and add to that that Celine will perform the song this Saturday night on prime time UK television, we could have a hit on our hands here! It'll 100% chart higher than "Taking Chances", that's for sure.

 

Also, having checked the UK singles release list for 31st December and 7th January I have to say that an artist of Celine's stature has almost no competition these weeks (aside from perhaps Britney Spears) and should get a decent chart position:

It actually makes a great deal of difference whether the DJ likes the song.

Sarah Kennedy has been known to cut records short when she doesn't like them and tell her audience so. That kind of publicity can only have a negative affect and even influence people.

And Chris Moyles has actually had a great deal of success in the promotion of certain acts with his enthusiasm and encouragement and got them into the charts.

I'm thrilled to hear EOM will be the next single! My original pick after the 1st listen to the cd was maybe "Fade Away" as the next one, but decided after a few more listens that "Eyes On Me" would be a great "departure" again. Many critics thought after MHWGO success and Celine taking 2 yrs off, that she'd release a cd with similar ballads, but "That's The Way It Is" turned out to be a good commercial success and got a lot of air play because it was different for her. I think the same will be said for EOM.... as least that is my opinion and hope!
