isurrender Posted December 30, 2007 at 12:11 PM Posted December 30, 2007 at 12:11 PM Today, we'll know her position in the UK. Do u think she will be higher than last week with the effect of "an audiance with'"? There was no mid-week chart this week? Quote
Fredy Posted December 30, 2007 at 01:23 PM Posted December 30, 2007 at 01:23 PM No there wasn't a midweek chart this week. Her total sales are 255,000 copies in the UK Quote

krazy_kool_dude Posted December 30, 2007 at 09:24 PM Posted December 30, 2007 at 09:24 PM remember though "An Audience With..." was shown on Saturday night. That left about 1/2 a day of sales the following day - that counted to that weeks sales (it jumped 7 places!!!). Just an unfortunate or fortunate (if you look at it in depth) that it happened near the end of one week/near the begining of a new week sales. takingchances83 Posted December 30, 2007 at 09:34 PM Posted December 30, 2007 at 09:34 PM It may still climb although sales are so low in Jan that its unlikely to make it a huge seller has it now gone platinum does any one know ie UK sales of 300k? Without a video for eyes on me that single is unlikely to help the album with its stupid release date! Celine is being treated awfully by sony, name another of their major acts who wouldnt get a video for a single especially the albums 2nd single! just because taking chances didnt do well surely thats more reason to try another song! Costa Santos Posted December 30, 2007 at 11:48 PM Posted December 30, 2007 at 11:48 PM (edited) ... TAKING CHANCES JUMPED 5 PLACES IN THE BRAZILIAN OFFICIAL CHART - IT'S CURRENTLY AT NUMBER 25. THIS IS THE HIGHEST POSITION THAT THE TAKING CHANCES ALBUM HAS EVER GOT IN THE BRAZILIAN OFFICIAL CHARTS. LAST WEEK, IT WAS NUMBER 30. Shaun Posted December 30, 2007 at 11:59 PM Posted December 30, 2007 at 11:59 PM It's a great result in the UK. 7 weeks after release the album is at number 14, I would've took that 7 weeks ago especially after the flopped 1st single. Now all eyes turn to "Eyes On Me" for it's UK release on Monday 7th January, here's hoping for a decent chart run for that too. Costa Santos Posted December 31, 2007 at 01:06 AM Posted December 31, 2007 at 01:06 AM (edited) Whitney does seem to doing awfully well she doesn't even have a bloody single out or a whisper or promotion. Whitney's The Best So Far album's actually a compilation of her greatest singles. This kinda "album" is supposed to sell very much... Take a look at Celine's On Ne Change Pas album sales... However, in its first week, Whitney's The Best So Far album sold only 58.000 copies worldwide and Celine's On Ne Change Pas one sold 100.000 copies IN FRANCE...
