Davey84 Posted December 28, 2007 at 11:33 AM Posted December 28, 2007 at 11:33 AM Where are all the posters, Celine stands, window treatments? That's what I want to know!!! Sony didn't fabricate anything!!! In Holland I only saw 1 poster... that to make it worse... celine was at the top, and keys on the bottom... at eye sight!! I really don't get it!!! Why not make a poster with TC, AND and the tour??? 337.000 sold worldwide according to mediatraffic. That makes nearly2 million albums in 6 weeks.... How can this be dissapointing, I dont think some people understand how good this is. We need to say Well Done becuase there arent many artists that can do this, these days. Celine's sales are steady and she has staying power where as I think most of them that are selling bigger like Alicia Keys, Amy Winehouse will be long gone in a few years time. 20 odd years on she is still selling millions. WELL DONE NOW PLEASE LESS OF THE NEGATIVITY 2 million is a really great number... but still TC could have been a huge hit, it's a pitty it didn't took off.... the next single has to be selected carefully!!!! oops too late Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

Is this from Mediatraffic (bearing in mind that it is for only 10 countries. Worlwide albums takes mediatraffic plus more into consideration and they should have the album as being over 2 million tomorrow. So adding the other countries you will probably find it is further up the chart Quote

Tal Posted December 28, 2007 at 05:33 PM Posted December 28, 2007 at 05:33 PM I love this album, but I do think that she deserves more chart success and would have loved to see the album sell more. But there's still a CBS special and a tour coming up so who knows... In general though, her album sales aren't particularly impressive so far and what really makes me worry is that they'll take the album sales as a reflection of people's attitude towards her going in a slightly new direction. I don't want her label, or Rene to think "ok she went a bit edgier, her album sold relatively poorly....let scrap this new Celine and go back to the old stuff." because like many here have said, this is one of her best English albums and I'd personally like to see her continue going in this direction and even a bit further. speedy Posted December 28, 2007 at 05:39 PM Posted December 28, 2007 at 05:39 PM At last, she's going to oversell OH in UK, Canada, Japan and many other countries I want her to continue on this way  Quote
William2005 Posted December 28, 2007 at 05:41 PM Posted December 28, 2007 at 05:41 PM 2 million in world wide sales so far isn't all that bad people! She will easily hit 3 million and maybe even 4 million which is considered to be successful! As for the US look at an artist like Pink who has had 3 hits off of her last album two that went #1 on Pop radio and she BARELY managed to sell over 1 million copies. I think for no hit this album is doing damn good. She is sure to hit 1 million sold in the US and maybe even 1.5-2 million when all is said and done. Pretty good I say considering the state album sales are in. I think people are expecting WAY to much. Even Justin Timberlake's last album which spawned MULTIPLE #1s in MULTIPLE countries just managed to sell 8.5 million copies World Wide in 2 years. If Celine sells half of that with ZERO hits I think that is pretty impressive! Quote

Prince Whiskers Posted December 29, 2007 at 08:16 AM Posted December 29, 2007 at 08:16 AM I TOLD YA, the album would breach the 2-million barrier before the year was over! tim123 Posted December 29, 2007 at 06:16 PM Posted December 29, 2007 at 06:16 PM What is totally forgotten is Celine is not trying to be hip or popular. she loves to sing. that's it! so with that in mind I think the sales figures are incredible. She doesn't need a trend or being someone she isn't to boost sales. I won't go into who does that because well it would start a whole debate in itself over nothing --- Remember this her name sales alone so regardless if it is 1million today or not it soon will be. I would rather the album stay on the charts for awhile than sale fast and drift off quickly. Can't wait for the world tour. Quote
