Alfred Haber takes on music awards

 

Alfred Haber Distribution in the US will be spreading the dulcet tones of Canadian warbler Celine Dion to more than 100 countries after picking up international rights to the 2007 Annual American Music Awards.

 

Dick Clark Productions' coverage of the event, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary, will be broadcast live in the US by ABC on Sunday November 18.

 

Alfred Haber has already sold the show to ITV2 in the UK; Star for pan-regional South-east Asia; Foxtel in Australia; TV2 in Denmark; Kanal 5 in Sweden; MNET in South Africa; NHK in Japan; City TV in Columbia; Telemicro in the Dominican Republic; ITC in Iceland; Tel-Ad in Israel; Sony Entertainment Television in Latin America; MBC in the Middle East; Telefuturo in Paraguay; Bangkok Broadcasting in Thailand; and Shant TV in Turkey.

 

Other star performers appearing alongside Celine Dion include Fergie and Rihanna, while Justin Timberlake, Beyonce and Linkin Park are among the nominees.

 

The show will be fronted by late-night talkshow host Jimmy Kimmel for the fourth time and takes place at the new 7,100-seat Nokia Theatre in LA.

 

Hmm... that means Star World will broadcast it here in India and the rest of South-East Asia :clap:

ITV2 will air American Music Awards

ITV2 has bought the UK television rights for the American Music Awards from Alfred Haber Distribution.

 

Coverage by Dick Clark Productions will air live in the US on ABC on November 18. ITV2 will show it on November 21 at 9pm.

 

Alfred Haber has international distribution rights and has already agreed deals with ITV2, Star in south-east Asia and other channels worldwide.

 

It is the 35th year of the awards which will be hosted by talkshow presenter Jimmy Kimmel at LA's Nokia Theatre. Among the performers will be Celine Dion, Fergie and Rihanna.

Well, if any of her "people" read this board, then it's obvious that the fans aren't too happy about Celine lipping all the time. Obviously, she has her reasons...but I defintely do some live performances FAST.

I was just watching Dancing with the Stars and the commerical for the AMA's showed twice and not once did they mention Celine's name. The also said "10 reasons to watch" and named 10 artist but not Celine. I don't get it. Why annouce a special appearance by Beyonce? That girl is HIGHLY OVERRATED as it is. I think that they don't believe that Celine appeals to a young audience as well.

Just when you thought she was slowly making her way back to being famous among those other names (she's being played among them on Z100) she gets another snub. I bet she'll still be the one that people will rant and rave about after her performance (if she sings live that is)

She just finishs her concert in Taipei last night and will leave today.

I think she hurry to prepare for AMAs.

I hope audience put their eyes on Celine but not her. :rolleyes:

I don't care about these commercials. They only last a few seconds..

 

What's most important is THE NIGHT!, which may last.. forever... (if you get what I mean :wink: :wink:)

:unsure: seriously speaking....even if Celine to sing live but if it is Taking Chances or Alone....than be it live or lip-syned...that for sure will not leave any great impact in the audiences' heart...and soon they will forget Celine had actually performed during that night...we have seen so much of Alone & Taking Chances both in lip-syned and liver version.....despite how gorgeous Celine looks....but these 2 songs just wont fit into today what the music industry wanted to watch.....after all....it is just a magnificent and flawless but by our Diva....that is...and highight for sure will be on beyonce....and any others artistes.

 

Celine will be great and will be start to talk about by people everywhere...if she perform Eyes On Me,...

yeah, now the album is released, Celine ought to have a head start on the second single. Christina Aguilera did this when she released stripped. She kept on performing 3 songs over and over (Dirrty, Beautiful and Impossible which wasn't a single).

 

So far all we've seen is Taking Chances and Alone. It's time for the third one!

 

Eyes On Me, This Time, I Can't Fight The Feeling, Just Fade Away - any of them will do! :P

EYES ON ME will be a good choice especially with some dancing moves and some dancers in the background. even though they don't mention her name in the commercial, hope she will leave the audience Bouche Bée as we say in French language.

 

they will criticize her for EOM (like Shakira and stuff like that) but the controversy is what draw attention these days. too bad
