Celine on the X Factor on October 27 - Performing live!

Depending on what date shes in the uk, late october/middle of november, it would be great to have a single/album signing for uk fans at virgin megastore or hmv in picadilly circus, where other huge artists do this in london.

 

That be be amazing, especially if it was the day after her appearance on x factor and other tv shows, when people see her tv appearances and learn about the new album/tour etc, from the shows

 

i got my fingers crossed anyway and hope our friends at team celine pass this on!!

it will be such a waste if she'll be there too soon . she has to be there for the release of her album or few weeks after...that way she'll have a best seller in the u.k for sure . hopefuly sony and her team know it.

what's the point if she is there few weeks before the release? it wont effect the sales that much...

Cool news! I can`t wait to see how she would mentor someone...she should do that on Idol this year even if I`m annoyed at the show right now . I can`t wait to see it! and Tal, I`m sure she`ll do some TC press here...I mean that would be crazy if she didn`t. We have the Today`s Show, Good Morning America...to name a few.

just for people who aint familar with the show,

 

it wont be simon, it'll be the new host dermot o' leary (irishman like me,lol) he'll explain its a theme week eg. ''vegas week'' or ''ballad week'' or watever, like previous years (every year is exactly the same kind of setup,lol) and it'll then cut to the vt of celine meeting each contestant, talking to them, maybe sing a bit with them, give them tips and encouragement etc, and show celine talking bout each of them and vice versa with the contestants talking about celine.

 

Then cut back to the studio, where dermot will then introduce celine and the song she will perform, and after that, ask if she has any favourites in the contestants, and then give her a chance to plug the album, a new day... the dvd, world tour or watever and thats it till, the xtra factor show (some big names from previou years choose not to stay for this?? ), which is after the main show, n a small relaxed studio, were its more casual and fun, with contstants, a different host, the judges, special guests and normally the guest mentor from that week, and people can text in questions to ask guests !!

i just contacted the people who supply the free tickets for xfactor after i applied for them at the weekend and there are thousands of applicants and i'm on the reserve list

I'm actually quietly confident regarding promotion for the new album in the UK. Whether it was Sony UK, Rene or Simon Cowell who got Celine onto the X Factor it's going to be HUGE for Celine's sales in the UK, and more importantly exposure to let millions of people know she's well and truly back on the scene and no longer locked into Vegas. Celine will be featured on upcoming episode of the popular singing competition show, ' The X Factor.' On the show, Celine will give the contestants advice on how to succeed with their performances and she will also perform a song! There is EVERY point. The time leading up to a release of the album is CRUCIAL. That has always been the case.. Don't forget there's also a single release, which happens 1-6 weeks before an album is released. So technically, promotion should happen within that timeframe. The heavy amount of promo should happen in the last week before the release, with additional promo in the week OF the release.

I don't think so. She should be promo the album launch @ Oprah, Tonight Show, Today Show, Larry King.... in the USA at that time. She can go to Euro(UK, France) 1-2 weeks before or after the album launch week.

Yes, but dear shai....she can't be in 10 countries at 50 shows in 2 days time..

 

If the single does well, then the album will do well also....remember that a single is a marketing tool to promote the album. And remember that both have the same name. Besides Céline is more an "album artist" than a "single artist". When during her appearances it's mentioned that the album will be released on Nov 12 (a couple of times), then that's perfect. Which also results in strong 1st week sales.. And she really should start with a BANG!

The X Factor is on a Saturday and albums are released on Monday's.

 

I think Celine should perform on the Saturday before the album (2 days before).

u said it all - she is an "album artist" - that's why they should put everything they have in the promotion of THE ALBUM .

yes she can't be everywhere the day of the release but she doesnt have to :

 

1 - she can record some shows during her october visit to france/europ

 

2 - she doesnt have to use all the guns during the first week of the release...as i said , nothing will happen if she'll do the x factor for example a week or 2 AFTER the release . that way the album will already be out there...

promoting THE ALBUM few weeks before the release is not a good idea unless u r gonna promote it after the release as well...do u really think people will remmember she has a new album coming if she'll be there few weeks before the release?

Yes, because it has always been that way.. Remember that the 1st single will be played on the radio a lot leading up to the release and that most of the times the radio DJ will mention the (release of the) album.

 

And I disagree, she has to use all the guns during the 1st week. Especially with this "comeback" album. Especially since she has *only* 5 weeks to promote. When she's everywhere in the weeks leading up the album release....radio, TV, magazines, internet, it's bound to attract people's attention. Of course, but then the album's already out for a month. And remember that the show ends on Dec 15 and that the album will get mentioned in every article about the last show. Anyway, I thought you above all were the one that finds this very important....like with D'elles..

 

Btw, don't you think she will take a break from Dec 15 till the end of January/the start of her world tour?? She's not a machine [anymore]..

Of course she will. She doesn't think about ANYTHING else but promoting the album. Of course, just OF COURSE. She lives to promote, doesn't have any family, just her voice and album. Yes, gogo, again right on point!

i find promotion very very important , dont get me wrong! theoreticaly if celine had all the time in the world ofcours i think it could have been a great idea to promote the album before , during and after the release but we all know it wont happen so i'm just trying to figure the best solution here
