Who else wishes could play a wider selection of Christmas songs on Spotify but stick to TAST because…. Because you just want to increase celine’s stats during Christmas time? Lol

Not the album, just two tracks 😂 “Another year has gone by” and “Christmas eve”. Such underrated songs!

The Christmas/holiday season and streams are working.

Celine reached 16 million monthly Spotify listeners for the first time ever and she's very close to 17 million.

AND she was in the top 200 globally most listened to artists for the first time EVER. She was the 40th most listened to female on Spotify for the 24th I believe.

Thanks to IACBMN TikToks and the holidays.

Definitely not me. But then I don't ever go to Spotify or Apple Music or YouTube or whatever else you people use. I just listen to the album I purchased in my iTunes. I don't get why anyone would do anything else. Unless of course, you didn't spend money to buy the actual album. And then....are you really a Celine fan? Or just a "pretender?" :sofunny:

So if you buy the album on iTunes you are a good fan because you spend your money once, but if you stream Celine and give her money every time while contributing to the current charts your are not a real fan? :wacko: iTunes is almost irrelevant today, fans either buy the physical albums to add to their collection or stream music in the different platforms.

But you are not alone in this, most Celine audience do the same and her relatively low streaming numbers reflect that. Nothing wrong with this, but nothing wrong with streaming or wanting Celine to do well on these platforms either.

Yup, what surprised me is the fact that a studio mix was ever released. I had always thought that Rosie's album included a HQ recording of the live performance.

Ah. Rosie released a Christmas album of duets and the live video everyone has seen was just from the TV special to sell her album - which were all studio tracks. Rosie was still a big deal at the time so it was her chance at releasing a Christmas album and having a TV special (as everyone seemed to have in the 90s) to help promote it.

I remember watching her show with Céline in the 90’s on YouTube and they really had a lot of fun. Like they’re teasing each other like real friends. No awkwardness at all. And it’s really funny. Rosie really made me laugh with all the jokes she did with Céline

then fast forward to 2002. It’s like Rosie was different like she was interviewing Céline like she’s a new guest. I don’t know it’s kinda serious. Was 2002 her last year? If yes, maybe that’s why she’s not that energetic and fun like before. But she is much better than Ellen. I really like that kind of interview like they did on Rosie’s.

The Rosie interviews were the best!

I think the change of mood in 2002 was because of Celine. In 2002 almost all her interviews sounded like « i didnt want to come back, i was happy at home with RC, im a mother i dont need to sing anymore » She was a little « arrrw i cant believe its all starting again ».

And then A new day started so less time for tv shows.

And yes 2002 was the last year of the rosie show

I was always hoping someone would ask Rosie about her friendship with Celine. Rosie is very honest, so I imagine that she would tell it like it is.

In my mind they had a falling out, because as far as I can tell Rosie hasn't seen her in Vegas since the very early days of the first residency. But that's just in my head, no evidence. Haven't seen photos though emerge.
