The amount of streams she's getting this Christmas season is how it should have been all along! I truly don't understand how there was a long period where her gem of a holiday album, one of the best selling ever, became obscured to the public.

I noticed today that TATST is at 128 on the US itunes store BUT its the most expensive on the chart thats not new this year. All the other Christmas albums are discounted to $6.99 or like $9.99. Hers is $13.99. Obviously 128 isnt a lot of sales but I think it shows people want the album and its not getting lost in the hundreds of other xmas albums

Céline Dion’s O Holy Night is simply majestic and grand. Blending operatic voice with pop music. A classic Celine’s signature sound (crystal clear voice) that people loves, especially during this time of the year.

 

It could be her Xmas hit, ultimately easily surpassing Happy Xmas (War is Over) overall streams in a couple of years if promoted correctly. Especially as it is a « traditional » song, it could be « anyone » song and it is a question of whom shall be considered the « best » or most loved cover. That is where Celine’s version has a definite shot, even more so that John Lennon’s Happy Xmas is already and rightfully popular.

 

Hope Sony/Celine’s team continues to promote this song next year so OHN may do even better and chart earlier and higher in the charts worldwide, and years after years becomes one of her « classics » and a Christmas classics.

 

If OHN becomes a definite Xmas staple, then Sony could try promoting some of her more popish/uptempo song, starting by Christmas Eve as we see it has potential becoming without any promo the fourth most streamed songs those last Xmas periods.

I honestly think that the video was filmed by her kids or her sister. And Celine was ok with it. I agree that the lighting is not the best, but who really cares? She's giving the world a simple message that she is ok, doing normal things, looking normal things with her fam like most of her fans.

She looks to be home in this clip, I believe normally she and her kids spend the holidays in Utah… hopefully she’s doing well and that the new year will be a good year for her health and dreams regarding her career.

I’d guess Celine Dion has all the material things she needs that’s when being creative comes into play.

I think I would gift her some vinyl albums of music that I think she would like. And maybe some nice artwork, like beautiful ceramics or something. We learned recently she gifted Irene Taylor some apple trees as a wedding gift, that was thoughtful.

Agreed! I listen to it every New Year’s and think it would make a great wedding song for a New Year’s Eve wedding. It’s a great song to ring in the new year!
