Abodi2002 Posted December 4, 2024 at 12:05 AM Posted December 4, 2024 at 12:05 AM There is already uploaded the video from the Bocelli’s Central Park concert, so maybe they would not want to cannibalize the streams from another live performance 🤔 the Prayer from the 1998 TV Special isn’t live anyway. They could upload Oscars 1999 though Quote

Definitely ‘Christmas Eve’, ‘I Met an Angel’ has already had enough credit in recent years and a song with a potential as big as CE deserves its opportunity to shine. 3 Quote Tournée Européenne in Paris (December 1, 2013)Céline Dion Live 2016 in Antwerp (June 20, 2016)Céline Dion Live 2017 in Birmingham (July 27, 2017)

Céline RO Posted December 4, 2024 at 11:42 AM Posted December 4, 2024 at 11:42 AM (edited) I’ve always considered Oscars ‘99 to be the greatest live version of the song ever. The 2011 one is pretty damn good too, and the rehearsal even better! Anything from 2011 is perfect though. Edited December 4, 2024 at 11:43 AM by Céline RO 1 Quote The best is yet to come...

But why is it only on Bocelli's channel? The Oscar performance is also amazing of course. Edited December 4, 2024 at 11:59 AM by comingback Quote

I may argue 2011 is the best for that song. Isn’t the rehearsal fake? I found a video claiming to be a rehearsal but it was just the original performance pitched up Quote

I remember we had the rehearsal footage and it was easily retrievable, and it didn’t seem fake to me or in a different key for that matter. Quote The best is yet to come...
catlovergirl1982 Posted December 5, 2024 at 04:22 AM Posted December 5, 2024 at 04:22 AM (edited) If Celine was to release an up-tempo single from this album, do you think 'Christmas Eve' or 'I Met An Angel' would be the better choice? Hmmm I like BOTH SONGS, I really do not understand why neither songs were sent out to radios back in the day during Christmas season, I think they both would have been VERY WELL RECEIVED DURING THE HOLIDAYS!! & yes I know "I Met An Angel On Christmas Day" was NOT ORIGINALLY on the "These Are Special Times" album & it was on another album a year later... But still it could have been released!! & "Christmas Eve" should have also been released!! Team Celine & Sony REALLY DID miss a good opportunity with that!! "TAST" was such a great Christmas album, too bad Sony & her team did not do more with that albums over the years during the holidays!! Heck, look at Mariah frickin Carey with her NEVER ENDING promotion of her Christmas album EVERY YEAR!! Mariah certainly knows HOW TO RIDE THE CHRISTMAS TRAIN with "All I Want For Christmas Is You" every year, which is why there are soooo many jokes at the beginning of every holiday season about "Mariah defrosting for Christmas" lollll But I think "TAST" is just AS GREAT as Mariahs "Merry Christmas" album!! I wish Celines Christmas songs were getting as much air plays on radios these days as Mariahs songs are & as all of the other great Christmas classics!! But I digress lol... Its Sony & her team we are talking about lol... Its just is what it is I guess lollll Edited December 5, 2024 at 04:25 AM by catlovergirl1982 Quote

LukeD Posted December 7, 2024 at 09:32 PM Posted December 7, 2024 at 09:32 PM (edited) I like 'I Met An Angel' but there is something off putting about its production. For some reason it feels like a demo rather than a fully-developed song. 'Christmas Eve' is more carefully crafted IMO. Edited December 7, 2024 at 09:32 PM by LukeD Quote

rfkavanagh Posted December 7, 2024 at 10:55 PM Posted December 7, 2024 at 10:55 PM Was just listening to the multi-artist David Foster White Christmas with Céline's vocals in French - was there ever a full French-language version by Céline released anywhere that I somehow missed? The multi-artist track is awful and very dated to its time, production-wise, but Céline's part is nice... Quote

Since he obviously recorded some French vocals for White Christmas while producing The Christmas Song, I thought maybe a full French-language version was produced at the same time. Probably something else hidden in the vaults... 1 Quote
