'Céline sur les plaines' concert for Québec's 400th anniversary, 8-22-2008

Will this be released in the states..Btw... I have to tell you all a story, well after watching the first three videos I downloaded those 3 songs on my Ipod. Well after watch them I starting to like it,and I started dancing as well.I HAVE THE SLITEST IDEA OF WHAT I'M LISTENING TO OR DANCING TO. iI now have it on my Ipod and listen to everyday , Just thought that I share this with you all. Yhank goodnuss i HAVE ONEBODY here with me, cause they must think I've lost it for sure. I sure do My our Celine .

I watched most if not all of this show on Youtube as soon as it was posted and I have to say it is one of my favorite concerts. It's great to see Celine in her home country with local singers. It's very emotional, at least to ME.

i was on youtube and watched some videos again... and then suddenly i have thought, i think they have miss one singer, also was managed by Rene!! Rene Simard lol they could do quand on s'aime...

 

oh well i still haven't seen all the videos... i'll probably wait for the dvd!! and i can't wait!

I heard great Jean-Pierre Ferland on TV this week during an interview for an award that was given to him as a song writer saying that some people don't like each other in showbusiness but some REALLY do love each other. He was talking about Céline and René and their relationship. He was so excited and happy to tell everyone that Céline and René gave away to him(for free) all the rights for the duet JP, Ginette and Céline did on the Plains on August 22th to him for an upcoming project "cd or best of"(don't remember). THIS is real love is said, what an amazing gift... He seemed SO touched!

 

That was nice to hear...I thought I'd share it with all of you.

 

I can't wait for the "Céline sur les plaines" DVD to come out. Even though I've seen it many times already I want to have it on DVD with all those bonus and everything.

Don't worry.I've preordered from amazon.ca too and if it wont be region free,then we can watch it on computer and you can even burn it with dvd shrink to have a HD quality on there,but i say just in case.I think that there wouldn't be any problems cuz i bought many things from amazon.com and amazon.ca that were regions free and i could watch.

Region free dvd players are so cheap and easy to find nowadays.

It's not HD to begin with, using dvd shrink will make it worse looking than the original DVD.

If it's a Canadian store who's selling it and they're only shipping it within Canada and the US [North America], it's probably going to be North American Coded, unfortunately not working for other regions. That being said, there are obviously ways around this, which are up to you and your own morals. LOL It can be ripped to a computer [i use a Mac] and a digital copy made, region free, in a fairly small amount of time. From there, the possibilities are endless.

 

There's a youtube.com channel that's dedicated to Celine and her DVD/TV appearances and always has great quality or HD vids of her stuff... just look for it on youtube. They have AND...Live in LV and much more, so I would imagine they'd have this DVD shortly.

Celine's performance of "Un peu plus haut, un peu plus loin" with Ginette Reno and Jean-Pierre Ferland, is included on Ferland's compilation CD titled 'Les Chansons oubliées' (in French only). The famous Quebec singers performed this beautiful song on the Plains of Abraham in Quebec City during last summer's 400th anniversary concert.

I just realized that I missed the part 5th of 1st DVD and part 5th of 2nd DVD while downloading the files from Multimedia section some time ago. I couldn't extract the files before because of lack of disc space. Now I have a new hard drive and wanted to extract the files but I get an error message telling about the missing parts.

I would love to download the missing parts but I can't find them in the Multimedia section anymore...

Can anyone help me where I can find them??

Well, I'm not insisting on putting the files links back, but to tell you the truth I don't agree with you. You said you no more share this concert in DVD version here on the forum since it has had its official release as a DVD, but as far as I can remember the file for download on our forum was the recorded broadcast from TVA, so there's nothing wrong in it.

 

Could you please explain it?

HEy everyone..just a side note about the concert...celines regular band and singers were not in this show, but it is interesting to note that her past percussion player..paul picard was playing percussion in the show! Has anyone else seen him in the show? I just thought that was very interesting.
