just people cant stop being greedy, but im sure that if its for celine she would do it, and they know that she will, thats why they got the bold to ask her to do so, but im sure that Rene reaction is so appropriate.

Celine's Quebec City Concert to Air on TVA!

September 19 , 2008

 

Quebec television network TVA (in French only) is scheduled to broadcast Celine's entire Quebec City concert, which took place on the Plains of Abraham on August 22 in celebration of the city's 400th anniversary! This historic television event is not to be missed, so tune in to TVA on September 21 at 7:30 p.m. (ET) to watch Celine performing alongside Ginette Reno, Marc Dupré, Garou and many more!

It's a good thing we have the TVA channel:flowers: I just hope that they're not going to edit or omit anything from the original broadcast. I'm recording it on VHS like I always do ^_^ I don't know how to 'cap' or make it into a digital file. I also don't have the tools for it :down:

Le Réseau TVA diffusera à 19h30 ce soir une version abrégée du spectacle de Céline Dion donné sur les Plaines d'Abraham à l'occasion du 400e annniversaire de la Ville de Québec, rassemblant 250 000 personnes à Québec, 100 000 à Lévis. L'émission dévoilera aussi des scènes inédites tournées en coulisses. :w00t: Edited by mirage

Hey Everyone,

 

I live in Maine, USA (we have a HUGE Franco-American population for those that don't know) and I receive both TVA and CBC- So, much to my elation, I was able to DVR Celine Sur Les Plaines- I haven't seen any comments about the broadcast being edited. Was it just me? They cut out several songs. Also, they definitely mastered the sound- At some times the sound was off from the speed of the video- and during Un peu plus haut, un peu plus loin during the big C'est beau with Ginette, during the original Celine's voice goes all scratchy with the key change, but on the Celine Sur Les Plaines a la TVA they cleared it up-

 

None-the-less, this broadcast was freaking awesome! Loved it! I made my parents watch it last weekend too! My dad loved it- Especially the duet with Nanette and la famille Dion- He actually knew the song that the Dion's sang- It was funny- Apparently his Aunts and Uncles sang it when he was a kid- Anyway- Just wanted to comment on the edits-

It was said during the week preceding the broadcast here. The original show duration was about 3 hours. Of course, they couldn't show a long show like that with commercials and everything. So they reduced it to two hours with less commercials then usual too. In fact, they edited all the songs sang in solo by Céline's guess and about three songs that Céline did on the Plains. I think that night there was not "S'il n'en restait qu'une" and "On ne change pas" and another one I don't recall now. I think they did a good job, it gave the feeling of that night, what people wanted to hear and see I think...which is....A LOT OF CÉLINE!!! I like what they did, it was great except for not showing 2 or 3 more songs Céline did. Oh yes I remember now, it didn't show "J'irai où tu iras" that Nanette did with Céline.

coool those backstage scenes... the font they use looks very like the font they use in intro videos of her concert... lol hope they will put it all on a dvd someday :D

But I'm downloading the forum version right now... if I buy it, probably it would be a waste of money and I don't know even if they will release it in non-francophone territories... -_-

i think this concert is the biggest event in celine's career! it's a must to have!!!

 

now that i can have the opportunity to see it in HQ it will be easy to wait for the DVD release!!

 

my fav song is obviously the one with ginette :cry: :wub:
