It's so refreshing to see Elvis fans liking Celine after this landmark performance.

 

 

Especially when there was so much negativity surrounding the idea of the duet. Wow...so many new members

I have just happened upon this site and am so very happy to have found it. I have been a Celine fan for many years. My sister and I are finally hoping to get to Vegas in the fall to see her show. So many things have prevented us in the past, health, family issues, etc, but time for her show is running out, so it is paramount that we make this trip. I saw the Idol Gives Back show last night and was amazed and blown away by the performance by her and Elvis. It was truly memorable. Elvis still Rocks.

 

So I look forward to hanging out here and discovering all the wonderful experiences people have had in their pursuit of following Celine and her career.

Even Dlisted can't deny Celine's talent.

That being said, Celine Dion wasn't annoying and I sort of enjoyed her part. The whole thing was just cheesed out to the max and they should not be calling it "music history."

-They propose to Rene April 6th the duet between her and Elvis and Rene refuse because everytime Celine goes to LA, she's sick after.. So the priority is her healthy and not her career, that's great

 

-They ask another time to Rene and he said he will accept if David Foster was the producer of the song, and he was. April 9th Celine record the song in studio to do a click-track.

 

-The recording was 4 hours long, Celine has to sing with the man for the background plans and she was singing alone when we saw the footage of the front.. And everthing was calculated when she was looking to Elvis, no improvisation lol.

 

-Lisa Marie Presley had to approve the performance before it was show on television and when she saw it, she can't stop crying, she couldn't say a word. She says that Celine was very good.. And very good thing: Lisa Marie Presley always refuse any duet with Elvis and this time they accept because it was Celine, it was the first time since 30 years!

 

-René cry when he saw the performance! He says it's a huuuge thing in is career and everybody here can approve that!

 

-Celine was really impress when she saw it, she fell to the floor (french expression lol)

 

-He still don't know if it will be on the next english album, due this fall.
