I like the songs he produced for her, but in my opinion that's because of the songs. He doesn't have that special touch like for example Jim Steinman or David Foster. You recognize their sound, but Afanasieff doesn't have this special distinctive sound. When David Foster for example produces a song, you can always tell it was him.

 

I hope she'll work with Chris Neil. Don't say what you're about to say ... no no no nooooo ...

I agree, Tal, she desperately needs some new flesh in English as far as producers and song writers are concerned. YET it was all along expected she will be working with Vito and Afanasieff since she has been working with them for years now. I bet even for the future English jazz album she will be working with them as well even if they'll be just sound engineers.

 

Now you have to consider that she will work on this album with three additional NEW hunks. And on top of that not a single mention of the Swedish team yet - knock on wooooood! This is the best news yet. So after all she is working with her standard team which is in my opinion expected but there is a little spak of hope that this may not be the usual Céline we know from her previous English records...

 

Oh, and I bet Chris Neil will also be part of this. He's quite quite. I still hope for new really NEW additions to the team.

Chris Niel also did Refuse To Dance...BUT isn't this the guy who said he didn't like what Celine did with Think Twice.

I don't think he would say anything like that. He earned a lot of money with that song, and he really likes Celine. He really praised her a lot in the Unison special that was posted here a while ago.

I want to see some original Celine things with this new album. For instance, bring back her famous signature on the front of the album (I love that!!) that appeared on "The Colour of my love through to "All the way" then seemed to stop.

EMI will be adding "additional content" on their CD's starting next year..

 

I really hope Sony will follow soon..hopefully before releasing both her new albums next year! IMHO, he's totally right..these days you have to make CD's more attractive, to compete with digital sales/downloads..

The Swedish team is Anders Bagge and Peer Astrom. But I prefer to nickname them for the music they make which then again includes Max Martin, Kirsten Lundin and Kara DeGuardi there as well. This is the Swedish team that ruined Céline's music and should not be let to see any daylight ever again.

 

They all (apart from Peer - for the moment) should be on my to-ban-list just right next to CSCfan's name.

there is one more Swedish Jorgen Elofsson who wrote "the greatest reward"(co-write with A.Carlsson)and "I believe in you" for Celine.

 

The Swedish team really do a great job in Celine's albums.

If you like the song "Tous Les Secrets De Ton Coeur",there won't be any reason to dislike them.(Most member of the Team were involve in this unique song.

I'm one of those who have a really bad taste because I hate the Swedish team. They destroyed Celine's magical sound...

 

On her next English album she can keep Peer Astrom but I don't want any other trash composers.

 

Bring back Walter Afanasieff, David Foster, Diane Warren, Carole King, Jim Steinman, R. Kelly, JJ Goldman. And why not Clive Davis and Quincy Jones?

Ewwww.... sorry, but with all due respect, I must disagree. Why would you want Celine to turn into just another pop diva? We need more quality music like what Celine provides. Not some bubble gum-pop/hip-hop trash that pop culture is so drounded in.

..but, it being a Celine album, still makes it a million times better than most other albums.

i think and feel that Celine's new english album will be different....every album Celine has done is different in one way or an other to her last one. i love celine singing her strong power ballads that pull at every heart string i have in my body....but .....i know Celine has lost that power in her voice OH was not a very good album however there were some good songs on there....IDAN, Reveal, Faith and Naked. i want Celine with this album to do something HUGE. be the trend setter and make everyone one go WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW thats different like cher did with Believe. i dont Celine to do something like Believe but the attenbtion it created for cher i want celine to have that again. i miss Celine over here in the UK....she dosent care about this market anymore which P$&ses me right off.

if celine was to release her new english cd in 5 different formats....i would buy every single one just like i have done with her past cds.

i have an idea for a project for celine to do after these two new cds.......

 

why not do a new greatest hits cd set that is like 3 cds with her realllllllllll....! greatest hits on....but....the twist being she re-records them??????

 

anyway as a celine fan i cant wait for what ever celine does and i will buy the album no matter what others thinbk about it....as along as it has some HOT pictures of her in the sleeve hehehehehehehehe
