So I found this...

This author lady who lives in Jupiter Island APPARENTLY met Celine in April of 2012. If you read the comments, you can see more stuff she said about her "meeting" with Celine. they're very strange and most of the stuff that she said are pretty much what are in interviews, as if she grabbed them from those interviews lol.

 

Like "linda takes care of her kids" "she started singing at 5" "she started to cry" etc. etc. etc.

 

Here's some of her comments: "Just met my neighbor Celine Dion. Wow. She talked about how much her family matters to her. I learned that the helicopters that fly overhead so frequently here are photographers taking pictures of her! And that she doesn't have any of her awards in her house here..."it is not a show business house." That her mother was not happy when Celine fell in love with her manager. She's been working since she was 5 years old. And her sister Linda takes care of her children for her when she needs help. Also, she doesn't have a high school education, but "don't tell my kids."

 

"She said that when she wasn't able to have kids at first, she told herself, well, that's the price you pay for all this success. Then she said she moved here because her kids could be safe, and that this was paradise. She started crying, and I handed my friend Lori my pack of tissues, and she handed them to Celine. So now I have a pack of tissues once used by Celine Dion. Pretty cool, huh?"

 

"She told them in Vegas that she would only perform with RC (Rene Charles) was in school. So she's here until the summer. Also, she had a virus settle in her vocal chords, so she had to rest them.

 

"I asked her what she does for girlfriends, and she said, "I don't have any girlfriends." Isn't that sad? I don't know about sugar, but we'll have to try to get that GIRL some GIRLFRIENDS, right?"

 

"Chanah, it's sad to think that the price of such fame is to have to build a bubble around your children. That said, she does have breakfast at the local restaurant "Harry and the Natives" and she does pop up at Walgreens and at Dunkin' Donuts, although she must NOT be eating the donuts because she probably weighs all of 90 lbs."

 

"Molly, she emphasized that she choose to build here because it is quiet, secluded and safe. We have more police per capita here on Jupiter Island than any city in the US. There are cameras at both entrances to the Island that record your car when it arrives, and there's a board in the police dept. that monitors where you go. I know from other celebs I've met that they live in terror of having their children kidnapped, and with good reason."

 

"Yeah, think of it: She started singing at the family restaurant when she was 5 years old. She's 44, I think. That's nearly 40 years of work! And she probably never dated. Her mother was by her side until she was 18, and lives with her now. I dearly love my sisters, but having girlfriends is a different (and important) sort of joy.

 

 

 

Then she said at the very bottom in one of her comments, "By the way, about six months ago a woman pulled into a driveway while I was walking the dogs, and effectively cut me off. She apologized profusely, and I said, "No problem." She said she'd forgotten something. She was wearing a baseball cap and dark glasses, and there was a little boy sitting next to her with long dark hair. I now know that was Celine! I thought so, but now I'm sure"

 

 

I know that this was from a while ago so it doesn't really matter anymore...but I'm sure she's seen her around, but not too sure about this like full on interview with her. This lady is just a book author, she's not an interviewer so the fact that apparently Celine talked about her "family" in such a way where this lady got so much info, about her career, etc...doesn't really sound like Celine. We all know how humble she is, she really only talks about like her career with interviewers who ask her questions about it. Not so much with her neighbors, don't ya think?

 

 

 

First of all...last time I checked. Celine doesn't drive and RC didn't have "long hair" in 2011 lol. Hm Idk

I would die to just see Celine out and about in Jupiter or anywhere! I can't imagine!

 

For the person who lives close to her...I heard that she's at her Jupiter Island house right now. Now..I'm not saying you SHOULD do this since it might be considered stalking ( ) but maybe...just maybe....drive by one day and see if they are leaving or something.

 

I drive by there almost every weekend. I'll take a look.

 

And um...yeah... Her friend's last name is Slavin. And she guards Celine's privacy very well. Damn her haha

 

And Celine can drive but I don't think she does anymore. She was driving around town in the early 2000s though!

Erm. yeah, I'm doubtful about this, too. I can't imagine Celine would have said she had no girlfriends in 2012 when she has sung the praises of Robin so many times. She used to say she had no girlfriends in the 90s, before she met Robin. Sounds like this person just read some old interviews. And saying she moved to Jupiter Island for her kids' safety . . wasn't the house they built in '99, before she had any kids, on Jupiter Island?

Yeah exactly! I'm sure this lady has met Celine but very briefly or maybe never even met her...just saw her from the distance and decided to exaggerate the story lol. It literally sounds she grabbed parts from diff interviews and mushed it together

 

I think that when Celine said she loved to drive RC to school...she meant that she loved to go with him. Because I don't think she drivesanymore...in 3 boys and a new show she was taking RC to school and she was in the backseat with him. I do know she used to drive before just like @incognito said but not too sure about it anymore. I think it's because of her high security and she pretty much doesn't go anywhere without Nick so I guess he would drive or Carlos from A New Day

 

I remember in My Story My Dream she talked about a car accident she got into...lol but that was a while ago. Everytime we've seen photos of her in a car or getting out of a car even when it's just shopping, she's with Nick or with a driver of some sort. WHo knows if she drives in her spare time but in order to drive here you have to get your license renewed and all that so maybe she just hasn't had it done since the early 2000's.

This does not seem to be as a result of "face to face neighbourly chit-chat". Yes, as you said, we all know most of this stuff from interviews. This "soccer-mom" image driving "a van" in a rush is just silly and a little sick I think...I really doubt Celine would drive him when in Florida. At that point, I think she was even more famous and always with bodyguards and drivers, so no, lady, no...maybe she needed to support all these with some photos taken by her cell phone

The waterpark house was built around 2009ish? In the late 90s she had a house in Jupiter (mainland not the island) at Admiral's Cove. She sold this around the time she went to do her first Vegas show.

 

Prior to this (mid-90s) she had a house in Palm Beach County at a country club (golf course) estate.

Dang! I think I like this one maybe a little more on the interior. It's not so grand like Celine's Laval. It's soooo grand, I wouldn't know how to live in it. although I really like the exterior of both houses.

Does anyone know if Maman Dion is still living in that big house near Celine's across the lake? I wonder if she lives with someone else...I'm sure she has help. If I were Celine or any of the others, I would be nervous if her mom was living there all alone..not that she isn't capable of course, but she's getting old. Davey, the article you just posted says that Céline sold her cottage in Quebec for $1 million dollars - to the wife of Bombardier's new CEO. She is the one who had sold the lot to Céline (for $78,000) in 2007. But I had no idea the cottage was built already!

It also says her houses in Laval, Jupiter Island and Vegas (!!!!! what!!!???) are still on the market.
