I was wondering, since D'eux was called "The French Album" in the US, maybe D'elles will be called something else like "The French Album II", or something like that. What do you think?

I doubt it since there have been about 4 French albums since D'eux.

To compare Celine's live and Maria Callas' life? OMG! That sounds odd, as they have nothing in common... except being popular for their voices. But, believe me, Celine is NOTHING like La Divina. And lucky her!

You can look it up, Denise Bombardier said it in an interview for TVA. I think it was the one where the premiered S'il n'en restait qu'une video.

 

This doesn't make it any less odd. Probably, and I really hope so, it might be something like an homage to La Divina.

Please please please put for once English (at least) subtitles on the DVD for the special edition if there's any interviews there. There is always French subtitles on English versions. It is extremely arrogant to exclude non-French fans from her French work when every one can enjoy her English work!!

I think, that there will be 13 tracks on every editions. What's more, I guess La Diva is actually the same one as La Boheme. I don't think they will make La Berceuse as a hidden track, anyway I really like this job on 1 fille & 4 types

Shaun, the idea of having more than 12 original songs on a French album is very thrilling to me! It would be amazing if we would get like 13 songs instead of 12! :yes: I think however that La Diva and Boheme may be one and the same song maybe something like a medley a la Barbra's "I Believe / You'll Never Walk Alone" which is actually a medley on a studio release!

And Fred, yes I agree, it's about time the French DVD's had English subtitles. I suppose they don't do it because the market for non-French speaking fans buying her French recordings is small. However they should still do it.

I just found out that the ONLY German retail store that has D'elles listed for a release on 18.05 is "Müller Drogerie". For now at least. Thank God I have them nearby my village. I may be ths able to pick it up on friday before the official release date! Gotta phone them one week in advance, tho to make sure! haha

I find it a bit wierd that the two biggest online media stores here in Sweden still don't have D'Elles as "coming". It's sad, I thought it would be a bit more noticed. But then again the promotion of her last albums are explaining this mystery as well.

I was watching "Rent" today in music class and there's this song that's called "Vive La Vie Boheme", and I don't know what "boheme" means. Immediately I thought of the whole "La Diva/La Boheme" song and how people said that the song (on D'elles) was a comparison of her life to something lesser, or something like that. So, is "boheme" like a bad thing or something, because in "Rent" they talk about how their lives aren't the greatest and how they live in really difficult circumstances. I wondered if there was a connection or something there.

I think it will happen to all the other non-French speaking countries announced by CelineDion.com (as it is happening for Germany, Finland, Sweden).

 

It's the first time they won't release a Celine French album in Italy (and Celine French albums always top the Album Chart here!). The very first time.
